steel dragons

ok, here we go.

 

yesterday i decided that i would create a DIY, complete with IA and all that stuff.

 

the chapters name is Steel Dragons, their homeworld is a hiveworld called smauglor prime. the chapter specialise in city fighting, and prefer close combat over ranged combat. the chapter also draw their recruits from the smauglor prime.

 

im also thinking of dividing the chapter in indepent clans, like the iron hands, each clan recruit from a different spire on the hiveworld and also have their HQ there.

 

the first thing i did was to make a colour scheme using the space marine painter, but i cant figure out how to post it, TELL ME THE SECRET OF POSTING IMAGES ON B&C!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

what do you guys think soo far?

Ah, an arcane secret indeed.

 

You type [ img] and [ /img] (minus the spaces) around the URL for the picture you made - that seems to work OK for me, at any rate.

 

As far as the chapter goes, I like the name. :lol:

That could be because I also made a 'Steel Dragons' chapter, but mine never really got off the ground. It's still a great name though, so run with it.

 

I'd need to see more on them before I could form an opinion on the actual chapter, though.

If they specialise in city fighting, wouldn't they be better at snipers and stuff, because if you look at other city-fights, such as Stalingrad in World War II, it's just snipers and guns (basically, I'm not saying that's it).

 

I think the hiveworld homeworld is good; a cityfighting special army would probably have grown up in a city environment, like a jungle-fighting chapter would be base don a jungle world.

 

All in all, like to see a little more info and maybe now you can post that pic?

Please, please, please don't call their homeworld SMAUGlor Prime if their Chapter name is the Steel Dragons... that's too noticably a reference to the Hobbit, and it's jarring.

Could've been worse... Could've been an industrial-plagued world called 'Smoglor'... Like what we call Los Angeles... Hyuk hyuk hyuk... Annnywhooo...

 

Not alot to go on...Although, the hive world thing has potential: Unscrupulous, "sneaky" semi-Night Lordesque Marines... Kinda cool. But then again... Thatd depend on whatever direction your going with them. /shrug.
