onlyme
Hi all, Back to revive a long lost project. I've set my sights on completing the 4th company of my as yet unnamed DIY chapter. The complete 4th company has been sent on a pilgrimage of cleansing far from the dominion of the emperor to spread his light in the form of fiery death... To this end the chapter master has reinforced the company with a squad of Sternguard and Vanguard from the first company along with several squads of initiates. The complete force consists of: HQ The 4th Company Commander, Meridon Ladok (Master of the Fleet, Champion of the Grey blade and so on)+ Command Squad Chaplian Aldaren Librarian Yesirn Syr Squad Palomis - Sergant + 5 Sternguard Squad Eletris - Sergant + 9 Vanguard The Venerable Casos The Venerable Armis Tactical Squads Arterimis Belios Galif Diamos Elthin Zytan Scouts 2 Squads of Scouts Devastator Squads Peitar Mylo A couple of predators and several Rhinos and Razorbacks Colour scheme for the Sergants: The addition of the red helmets and shoulder guards is to signify the sacrifce in blood they and their veteran forebears have made. Colour scheme for the Troops These images are samplesI've already posted to more adequately illustrate the colour scheme; I'll get some new images up as soon as possible: I've chosen an ash and snow theme for the model bases, aiming for a desolate nuclear winter theme - bombardment from orbit then a strike from orbit to finish the command in whatever hardened bunker they are cowaring in... Sergant showing the red of the guards and helmet Example Scout Example Tactical Marine Transport I've currenly got all the tactical marines built and 2 squads (mostly) painted The elites are mostly conversions, the sergant is in the process of being painted the rest are primed One of the venerables is primed ready to paint Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/203975-reviving-my-diy-chapter/ Share on other sites
Brother Argent
Sweet. I love watching DIY chapters grow. Especially when you set yourself a goal like collecting a company. Good clean painting too. Only a few little things (Such as the knepad markings) that might need a litle touch up but I understand its night impossible to get clean straight lines freehand somethimes. All in all, keep it up. KaosRaptor
That tactical marines' eye seems like it might need a little tidying up, but then again I know how hard eyes are ;) Other than that, fantastic work. I especially like the addition of the red you've decided to use on the sergeants...good reasons behind it, and makes them really stand out. Looking forward to seeing more from you ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/203975-reviving-my-diy-chapter/#findComment-2431989 Share on other sites

Obliterator
Very nice looking color scheme. When I first saw the pictures from the marine painter, I thought there would be too many colors going around, but when I see the finished models, it all comes together rather nicelly. P.S.: I think one marine of squad Belios wandered off into squad Arterimis for the photo shoot :( Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/203975-reviving-my-diy-chapter/#findComment-2432627 Share on other sites
