FF151
Hey Guys, I have searched high and low for this answer but to no avail, My question is this. Orks often have painboy (that allows feel no pain) in their Nobz squad. Is there any unit or independant character that can cause snipers or any other unit for that matter to specifically target painboy? The way the rules are written, it is the opponent that allocates wounds. I have heard that snipers could allocate wounds in an older rule set, but any ideas guys? Any help on this would be appreciated, if you have any unit or independant character that could do it from other armies, IG, Tau, etc, that would be helpful as well. Cheers, FF Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/204033-attacker-allocating-wounds/ Share on other sites
Chengar Qordath
Telion from the normal Marine codex, and a Vindicare assassin from the Inquisition codices are the only units I can think of who get to choose who their wounds are allocated to. greatcrusade08
Telion is the best bet, however with 2 wounds on the painboy youd be lucky to kill him before he sees combat Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/204033-attacker-allocating-wounds/#findComment-2432746 Share on other sites
Legatus
Certain psychic powers like 'Mind War' (Eldar), 'Gift of Chaos' (Chaos Space Marines) or 'Blood Boil' (Blood Angels) also allow the enemy player to chose which of your squad's model is targeted by the attack. Marshal Wilhelm
A demolisher round ignores armour and FNP, whilst insta-deathing Nobz.... if you wound all of them, then the Painboy gets hit :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/204033-attacker-allocating-wounds/#findComment-2432803 Share on other sites
Grey Mage
This seems more like a tactica discussion. *huck* Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/204033-attacker-allocating-wounds/#findComment-2432809 Share on other sites
ImperialReaper
A demolisher round ignores armour and FNP, whilst insta-deathing Nobz.... if you wound all of them, then the Painboy gets hit  This was also my first thaught. And you get much more from a vindicator than from fielding Sgt. Telion. Librarian R. Zreiker
And you get much more from a vindicator than from fielding Sgt. Telion. For double the points, I'd hope so! Possessed Marine
And you get much more from a vindicator than from fielding Sgt. Telion. For double the points, I'd hope so! not really, as you would have to buy scout squad & telion, so you actually save 10 points if you buy a vindie Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/204033-attacker-allocating-wounds/#findComment-2433210 Share on other sites
trefenwyd
Space Wolf Rune Priest can psychic attack him, and anyone else in a 24" range (init test or die, targets specific models) - best way to deal with Orcs...
