maverike_prime
This is my first time writing a tutorial of any sort. I came up with this particular conversion the other day when I went to build a Chaos Terminator with a Twin linked Bolter and found all I had were Combi-meltas. As a bonus I got an extra Melta-gun out of it. That's one step closer for my plague marines  So, what are we going to need for this? * 1 Chaos Terminator Combi-melta * 1 Bolter Here are the tools I used. * Plastic Glue * Hobby Knife * Razor Saw * pair of tweezers So, first things first. Take the Terminator Combi-melta. Using the Razor saw cut down along the back of the melta barrel at the head of the weapon body (shown in green). Once you have that cut complete, take the hobby knife and slice along the bottom of the melta barrel along side the chain-blade. Try to be careful and avoid gouging the chain blade. If you do, it's not a big deal and it can be addressed later. The object is to separate the Melta-barrel from the weapon body. Now, take the bolter and cut off the barrel from the front of the weapon. Be VERY careful not to loose the barrel once you cut it off. Next, cut off the bolter magazine. Once you have the bolter parts cut off you can attach them to the body of the combi-bolter. The bolter barrel simply replaces the melta barrel. If you look at the body of the combi-bolter, there it a flat space on the housing where the belt feed goes. It's a perfect place to attach the bolter magazine to. Now you can take the Melta barrel and attach it to the bolter. There you have it. We've taken a Combi-melta and a bolter, and ended up with a Twin linked bolter and a Melta gun. So, how'd I do?
