Skirax
Right, so I'm going to the Scouring (hopefully) in September, and decided I wanted to do a Wolf Brothers army. I've asked in the Fang for the armour colour, and through the incredibly helpful comments, I've created this Wolf Brother: Ignore the face; it's far from the best I've done: A shot of the depth of the grey: Rear view: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/204064-the-wolf-brothers/ Share on other sites
Skirax
Well, I've been busy: Ok, well I'm hopefully going to the Scouring weekend in September (funds are low at the moment ;)) and so, I've built Jortan the Blind and the Wulfen from the TF pack: Jortan (note: Jortan is Blind, so I scratched the eyes out with my modelling knife as he had them scratched out by and Ork at Chondax): Wulfen 1: Wulfen 2: Wulfen 3: Wulfen 4 (first one I made): Pack Leader: Now, these are my first few Wolf Brothers: More Brothers: And a little something special I'm planning: @Belisarius: Yes, they are intended to look very twisted by the Sorcery that they encountered on Prospero. The hands were used from the Genestealers, and the more humanoid hands were fine, but then I wondered about the other claws. I realised that I could pass them off as 'fully formed wulfen claws', so there you go <_< Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/204064-the-wolf-brothers/#findComment-2441758 Share on other sites
Skirax
I apologise in advance for any blurry pics. Progress!: Right now, I'm stuck for what to paint their right shoulder pads. I'm thinking an assortmant of different pack markings to show the 'rag-tag' nature of the pack, but then they might have a dedicated pack colour :) Jortan (I realise that he's missing a back pack vent): Wulfen 1: Wulfen 2: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/204064-the-wolf-brothers/#findComment-2448214 Share on other sites
Skirax
New, Land Raider Spartan: Rear View: Over the head view: Hope you like it :D Still gotta finish it, like add the Heavy Bolters at each end, but C&C is greatly appreciated. Kurgan the Lurker
You need to work on your picture taking Skirak, that will probably help you get more feedback. Dark, blurry pictures with your laptop as a background make it difficult for folks to give an honest critique. You can make a photography stage pretty cheap. I use a couple of land raider boxes, draped with a piece of scrap cloth from a fabric store and some bendable neck lamps. Doesn't look like much but you'd be surprised at how much better that plus a good macro function can be for your pictures: http://www.duckblindminiatures.com/images/funstuff/lightstage.jpg I'm not sure about your Spartan. It doesn't really look like even the old RT Era Spartans. If you do plan to go forward with the cathedral wall type look I'd recommend cutting the walls down just a bit. You've got portions of the wall just hanging over the edge of the tank so it looks awkward. Skirax
Wow, thanks for the comments Kurgan  I didn't realise my pics were so blurry. Ok, I know the Spartan is different, but I like mine as it is because it's meant to be, fluff-wise, and ad-hoc assemblage of barricades put on the top of a Land Raider. I'll try and set up a stage ASAP, don't have many lamps though :( Thanks again  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/204064-the-wolf-brothers/#findComment-2455064 Share on other sites
