How did you Wolves players do at Ard Boyz?

Just trying to find out how my Space Wolf brothers did at Ard Boyz semis this year?

 

I played in a small tourney and took 3rd with my wolves (it came down to killing 3 guardsmen in shooting and close combat for the overall win so of course I fluffed it).

 

Wolves took 1st, 3rd (mine) and 4th at this tourney so it was good times for the Fang this day (which oddly enough was yesterday).

 

I sure would have liked to have played in Springfield but the 3rd mission killes my mech wolves in the prelims, I put every vehicle I had (except my las/plas rhino) into reserve and rolling them all out except 1 land speeder on the 2nd turn killed me. That was 8 successful reserve rolls in 1 turn, I have never ever done better than 3 before in my life. Even then I had a chance but could not kill a land raider for anything. Oh well it was a good time and I learned quite a bit, which is the important part for me, the line that separates me from the really good local players is becoming more blurred.

I took first again with my Thunderwolf and Land Raider list. The third mission from the Preliminaries didn't even make me blink, I wound up tabling my opponent anyway with a loss of only one Land Raider.

 

Yesterday I faced a Loganwing list in the final game, the only thing he had left standing at the end was Logan, I had only lost my Thunderwolves (after he actually managed to chase them off the table :D ) and one of my Wolf Lords, but I still got a massacre and took first. I only plan on tweaking the list slightly for the finals, since it seems to be working so well for me. :D

 

Got a lot of compliments for my TWC conversions, too. I do my own DIY Chapter using SW rules, and I've been going for more of a reptile/dragon theme with my Chapter, so my guys are riding Cold Ones from fantasy. Still trying to get enough Lizardmen Salamanders to use in place of Fenrisian wolves, though.
