BERZERKER!
Has anyone converted an ironclad into a ven. dread? I want to put an open sarcophagus onto my Furioso, but give it the extra armour of the ironclad. So far, i'm thinking the best way would be to buy a second venerable torso from a bitz site, cut out the middle and add the extra armour panels. However, none of the bits sites i use have the part in stock. Can this be done (and look good) by just cutting the ironclad sarcophagus away? Pictures welcome, i would like to see how this will look. ShinyRhino
it looks liek the only real difference between the two is the sarcophagus front. What I would personally recommend is buying the Venerable sarco front, and using the Frag Assault Launcher plates over that. That way you can use all the fronts from the Venerable, and slap the FAL plates alongside the Venerable sarco. The FALs should be identical in size to the plates that come with the Venerable, and allow you to cover up the text. I have the Ironclad kit in a box at home, and can compare the plates for you at some point tonight or tomorrow. (I'd do it ealier, but I am a bit scatterbrained with stuff like this, and also have hockey team meetings tonight and a game tomorrow, lol). Bannus
The FALs will fit on any Dreadnought except the AoBR version. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/204161-ironclad-to-venerable/#findComment-2436168 Share on other sites
