It was a long run, but I finally got around to finish my first squad of Wolfguard Terminators last night.

So here you go, comments and questions are, as always, welcome.

Thanks mates, really appreciate it.

They look great! I especially like Buliweief; the pose is awesome!

I gotta say the sprues are great too, they make a lot more movement possible then you'd expect from a Terminator miniature.

Damn, I still remember putting the old ones on the 25 mil base together. :tu:

How do you do the edges, As i can see you use shadow gray as base. and then?

The base colour isn't purely Shadow Grey, it's a 70/30 mix of Shadow grey/Space Wolves Grey.

On the edges, I did some (pretty rough, they're painted for use in games after all) blendings by continually mixing Space Wolves Grey into the base colour, applying it in very diluted glazes.

At the end, extreme highlights in pure Space Wolves Grey were painted on the edges.

That's basically it.

For the armour's colour just check five posts up, I wrote down a quick how-to there.

As for the face...

- Basecoat with mix of Scorched Brown/ Dark Flesh, ratio 1:2

- Continually add Dwarf Flesh into that mix and apply stepwise (you'll need a highly diluted paint.)

I usually do 4 to 5 layers, making sure to always leave some of the darker layer showing.

- Apply pure Dwarf Flesh.

- Finally, apply layers of Dwarf Flesh with some Bleached Bone sparingly, to create extreme highlights.

If the result turns out chalky, you didn't dilute the paint enough.

Notice you might very well use more/ less mixes to create a smooth blend, depending on the face you're painting.

Hope that helps.
