Wolf Lord Durgann
So, I currently need about 42 wolves and 3 cyber wolves for my army. And maybe more for my HQ choices... I've been thinking about how I'm going to accomplish this.. I want to use the highelf lions and green stuff them.. However, this will come up to about... $600 and a ton of extra chariots without lions... Anyone know of any alternatives? I have also looked into the wolves the goblins ride and wouldn't mind that either to be honest... at least they look like wolves lol! This will come up to about $155... Thanks in advance! Casual Heresy
Plastic Chaos warhounds. Just don't add the antlers and greenstuff over the mutated bits and add a little fluffy tail. lothbrok
personally i use the goblin riders the wolves are about the right size and you dont have to do anything to them. Shieldwall
Some people use the Wargs from the LotR range. They have weird heads, but they can now also be bought seperately without the riders and also come with 40 mm bases. RunningWolfFenris
The size of lions is better for making Thunderwolf Cav, I saw a thread about that somewhere. I would recommend dire wolves or gobbo wolves Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/204199-fenrisian-wolves/#findComment-2435192 Share on other sites
Silverwolf
I'm a fan of the plastic Chaos Warhounds, purely because they look more aggresive / violent. The Goblin Wolf Rider models look a littel to cuddly. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/204199-fenrisian-wolves/#findComment-2435260 Share on other sites

Wolf Lord Durgann
If you look at the prospero burns photo... the wolves are huge! Almost half as big as the space marines themselves. I don't plan on ever fielding thunderwolf calvary.. I just don't like the idea of the unit personally... but I love the fact that wolves do fight with the space marines. Are the two wolves in that photo thunderwolves? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/204199-fenrisian-wolves/#findComment-2435526 Share on other sites
Skirnir Ragefang
Of all options GW provides i hate the Goblin Wolfs the least. The Company Gamezone has some nice Wolf Models that actually look like Wolves, but they are 8.50€ for two. Maybe you can raid Childrens toys sets. I had a lot of really well made animals from a company called Schleich wenn i was a kid. (Now i have to look on my parents attic if there are any suitable wolves :D ) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/204199-fenrisian-wolves/#findComment-2435535 Share on other sites
