Alright so I've finally finished re-painting my Dreadnought and I've got my Assault Squad painted up, so here they are:

Hand painted Assault badge?!

You, sir, are crazy :P BUT well done!

Well, its that or transfers and I hate transfers.

I've always wanted to do an Imperial Fists army but I've always been too afraid that I'll totall botch it. I might start a small force after my Tyranids are done now. Good job

It's mostly patience... lots of patience... each squad of Imperial Fists takes twice to three times as long to paint as say one of my Ultramarines or Raven Guard squads, but the result is well worth it I think.

Dude I didn't pay that much attention you hand painted the assualt badges......that makes up for the multimelta thing

Everything except the Chapter Badge on the Dreadnought's CCW arm is freehand, including the Chapter Badges on the Assault Marines. I can't stand transfers unless its on a flat surface and have taken to freehanding everything, with enough practice it works fairly well and means I don't have to fuss with various solutions, snipping, positioning and sealing transfers.
