Legion monkey
Ok, here are some images of my army and some early stages of my urban scenery for a campaign I am designing. I should mention my colour scheme is based around something I read describing the pre-heresy colours of the Death guard. The book described it as Ivory with a dark green trim. I imagined over time the ivory would brown in colour, dirt and grime and time so to speak, and the white milky ooze I use is the new strain of Nurgles children, the virus he made especially for this new and secret hoard, The 3rd Legion of Nurgle. Hope this works ok and you actually see something...... http://img211.imageshack.us/img211/190/picture011ww.jpg http://img96.imageshack.us/img96/9126/picture010ok.jpg http://img251.imageshack.us/img251/8871/picture006us.jpg http://img705.imageshack.us/img705/375/picture007i.jpg http://img535.imageshack.us/img535/19/picture013u.jpg http://img24.imageshack.us/img24/6743/picture015pi.jpg Ok, thats the army colours and a small start to my army list. The next images are of my table scenery in its infancy, alots changed since these were taken but you can see the kind of idea I am working on from these below..... http://img534.imageshack.us/img534/970/20100610035.jpg http://img155.imageshack.us/img155/6803/20100610036.jpg http://img821.imageshack.us/img821/3572/20100610042.jpg http://img714.imageshack.us/img714/8462/20100610045.jpg http://img534.imageshack.us/img534/1530/20100610037.jpg http://img576.imageshack.us/img576/4222/20100610039.jpg http://img693.imageshack.us/img693/5855/20100610044.jpg http://img576.imageshack.us/img576/8681/20100610038.jpg http://img821.imageshack.us/img821/8944/20100610040.jpg Ok, I thinks that enough for now, I am so crazy with this project but its a lot of fun too, so much more to do and I am already writing up the scenario missions for each and every race in 40k so any army can come onto the table with a specific goal, and of course I have allowed for a three way game also! Hope you like the images. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/204598-nurgle-army-pics-and-scenery-build/ Share on other sites

Master Ciaphas
Hail, Yep - definitely looks amazing. I think your city project is awesome - and some of the most epic battles will probably be fought in urban enviroments. Keep up the steam, and let us see some colour on the city! Del'Metojoques
That's some really fine work you've done there. I appreciate a lot of the time it seems you've put into the scenery. Dude I hope it all plays out well. It should. You seemed to have put a lot of work into it. I might post a few of my pics from the army I'm building w/ a Nurgle theme. Again, good work. Seriously. I love this stuff. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/204598-nurgle-army-pics-and-scenery-build/#findComment-2446471 Share on other sites
bento-of-the-earth
I assume thats all styrofoam. If so, where did you get amounts like that to use. I'm working on a similar fortress, but can't find anything good to use. and nice work with both the models and table! -Bento Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/204598-nurgle-army-pics-and-scenery-build/#findComment-2448430 Share on other sites
Myxx
I'll be very interested to see how you paint the styrofoam (if thats what it is). I have been trying to use it for my scenery and some of the paints and primers seem to "melt" the foam. Gubnutz Da Grim
Primer and most spry paints will melt the styrofoam. However, you can roll the paint on or you can coat the foam in watered down PVA glue and it will not melt. Not to hijack the thread just passing on some info to a fellow B&C member On topic we need more pics. CorpseMarine
It's not impossible though, ask for an acrylic spray paint, use it from a greater distance than your used to, and test it first!
