Uber Thunderwolf Death Squad

So I was taking a gander at a list one of my friends uses at 2k points, and one of the things that caught my eye was the super thunderwolf death squad, with 5 wolves ungodly saves, etc etc. Along with this comes the wolf lord on mount with a 2+/3+ save.

How do you deal with something like that?

Massed fire and ordinance drops?

A Vindicator does the trick, 2 Vindicators is just gravy.

Vindicator would be ideal,

 

Lash em into a tight group, and blast em to hell

Anyone else thinking that a daemon prince with daemonic stature and a dread axe from the old 3.5 codex would do the trick :)

Lashing against a space wolf army?

I think not, I think not. Rune priests take care of that, as I recall.

So vindicators? Wont kill the lord most likely, but will take out his pesky mounted wolf guys. So is that the only thing that we can think of?

 

 

Also, Hellios, I used to run a chaos lord, doubly armed with a power weapon and dreadaxe. Dreadaxe for those pesky awesome invul save characters (dark eldar lord), and a power weapon to take care of the average soldiers.

I use a Vindicator and then survirors with Abaddon leading a Berzerker unit. It works pretty well.
