captainawsm
Hey guys and gals. I recently started a Chaos Daemons and i want to do a slaaneshi army led by a herald who no longer does slaanesh's bidding, just seeks pleasure for himself. the army will roughly be a herald and a daemon prince leading a horde daemonettes, seekers and fiends seeking pleasure on the field by killing imperial psykers and hearing their death-scream across the warp. Lt. Smash
Why the Daemon Prince? Shouldn't he lead the force, or be left out of the army? I mean, if I was a Daemon Prince and a, what is in my opinion essentially greater lesser Daemon of Slannesh, told me he was going to do my masters work, I'd probably eat him. Or being Slannesh, probably do something worse... Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/204631-the-singing-blades/#findComment-2440254 Share on other sites

Retalitus
im just trying to find things that will seriously put a dent in enemy tanks without leaving slaanesh or taking a soul grinder How about Fiends? They're a great Slaaneshi unit, swift enough to catch even fast moving vehicles, and have plenty of rending attacks to glance enemy vehicles to destruction. Perhaps not as good as MCs or 'Grinders, but they'll do the job. Saying that though, I don't see why you can't play Daemon Princes and still stay true to the fluff you've created for your army. Don't forget, there's a fluff reason why Daemon Princes are not HQ choices in the Daemon codex... many Daemons, even lesser Daemons, look down their demonic noses at DPs - primarily due to the fact that they were once mortal creatures, no matter how powerful they are now. Besides, when it comes to Slaanesh, anything goes. How about you make up some fluff that the particular DP in your army has been rejected somehow by Slaanesh or fallen out of favour (perhaps by screwing up a battle or something), and joins up with your Herald mainly for self-preservation? Hell, you could even use that justification to play a Keeper of Secrets. Just because lesser Daemons are smaller, I don't think this should stop them from holding influence over other Daemons... After all, I can see it as entirely plausible that a daemonic horde of Khorne - even including mighty Bloodthirsters - could be lead by Skulltaker, who is after all a lesser Daemon.
