The Damned
Hey all, I am currently working on converting 4 Rhinos for my legion of the damned army, which are turning into fairly nvoved conversion pieces. Since I'm going to all the trouble, I want to make sure I do right. What is the general concensus on filling in the joints between the top cover piece and where it fits into the two sides? Do most people leave them with the assumtion that its just how the tank was put together, or should they be filled in to hide the joint? Any advise would be helpfull. chenley
I take it that you have the old style rhino, and not the current rhino? If you are talking about the old style, I didn't fill the joints in mine. If you are talking about the new and current rhinos, what gaps?? mitchell93
i have the same gaps between the side armour section and the main hull, i intend to fill it in - when i finally get some gs *facepalm* Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/204686-rhino-question/#findComment-2440914 Share on other sites
hmk17
Some of the new ones will gap if the top piece was warped in any shape or form. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/204686-rhino-question/#findComment-2440961 Share on other sites
Venerable Jazzman
If you want to fill them the best way is to create a welding bead from GS rather than trying to smooth out the gap Tutorial And a big Panther at Bovington http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v110/fatjazzer/IMG_1398.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/204686-rhino-question/#findComment-2440977 Share on other sites
Brother Valerius
If you are talking about the new and current rhinos, what gaps?? It's actually unbelievably hard, in my experience, to get a Rhino hull to fit together smoothly. Out of 4 of those damn hulls, I have had one turn out decent. Shame that they're used for everything.
