kharn_the_betrayer
I've been flipping through the codex almost non-stop since I bought it on Saturday and see a lot of the marines with custom shoulder pads and torsos along with weapons. I specifically see a generic Captain model on Page 66 and is the center image on the page. I am guessing that these models are kit bashed to use GW's term for their work. Do the newer kits come with enough parts to make some extra models out of them or at least use a few extra parts? Am I correct with my assumptions? I might be wrong but the Sanguinary guard and Death company boxes come with only five sets of legs. But they do come with a nice amount of heads, shoulder pads and extra bits. The captain seems to have SG chest and helmet, DC legs, head and sword.

ProteanSun
I had a bunch of spare marine parts and I bought 2 DC boxes and a SQ box. I am a big fan of conversions and if you plan each model out you can make eery model unique and never notice you used some "vanilla" pieces here or there. Isryion
The Sanguinary Guard and DC boxes come with a lot of extra shoulder pads and a few extra arms/heads. No extra legs or torsos. I've got both and the DC box is a bit better for more "generic" BA shoulder pads. It has more that would fit for the regular troops. The Sang box is great for characters. Andrew_Beck
its like this DC box = BA upgrade sprue. if u wanna BA themed army go for DC boxes in 1:10. where 1 box of DC s enough parts for 10 "normal" marines.
