Skirax
Ok, well I'm hopefully going to the Scouring weekend in September (funds are low at the moment :)) and so, I've built Jortan the Blind and the Wulfen from the TF pack: Jortan (note: Jortan is Blind, so I scratched the eyes out with my modelling knife as he had them scratched out by and Ork at Chondax): Wulfen 1: Wulfen 2: Wulfen 3: Wulfen 4 (first one I made): Pack Leader: Now, these are my first few Wolf Brothers: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/204741-introducing-the-wulfen/ Share on other sites
chaplain belisarius
interesting...they lok a bit like chaos possessed-is that intentional? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/204741-introducing-the-wulfen/#findComment-2441567 Share on other sites
Skirax
More Brothers: And a little something special I'm planning: @Belisarius: Yes, they are intended to look very twisted by the Sorcery that they encountered on Prospero. The hands were used from the Genestealers, and the more humanoid hands were fine, but then I wondered about the other claws. I realised that I could pass them off as 'fully formed wulfen claws', so there you go :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/204741-introducing-the-wulfen/#findComment-2441572 Share on other sites
chaplain belisarius
so its intentional then? thought they looked a bit chaos-y... Nice models though.. MaleOpener
I like the claw idea you came up with. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/204741-introducing-the-wulfen/#findComment-2441741 Share on other sites
Skirax
Thanks, this are primarily for the Scouring event, but if I can't go, these will be MotW marines. Skirax
Damn :D You found me out. Are you going to the Tempus event? Thanks for the kind words guys, I really had fun making these guys. I really wanted to put a hammer on Jortan and put a banner saying, 'Stop. Hammer Time'. But sadly, it was not to be *weeps* Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/204741-introducing-the-wulfen/#findComment-2441825 Share on other sites
Requiem of the Wolf
Whats hilarious is that those Wulfen with the ghoul claws look almost exactly like my Mark of the Wulfen guys.. Great minds think alike....so do twisted ones I guess.*grins* Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/204741-introducing-the-wulfen/#findComment-2441973 Share on other sites
Skirax
Actually, they're not Ghoul Claws, they're Genestealer claws. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/204741-introducing-the-wulfen/#findComment-2442593 Share on other sites
The Son of Russ
Please do not paint your Russ ginger. I will not be happy. Also nice models! My MOTW is a marine like the WGBL in the codex, but with a chainsword and bolt pistol raised, and i painted his eyes yellow, with his helmet tossed to the floor. Thats my interpretation of MOTW, the point to where they succumb to their bestianity. But seriously nice models. Son. Skirax
Well, I'm probably going to paint him blonde, like on the cover of Prospero Burns. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/204741-introducing-the-wulfen/#findComment-2444859 Share on other sites
Skirax
I apologise in advance for any blurry pics. Progress!: Right now, I'm stuck for what to paint their right shoulder pads. I'm thinking an assortmant of different pack markings to show the 'rag-tag' nature of the pack, but then they might have a dedicated pack colour :) Jortan (I realise that he's missing a back pack vent): Wulfen 1: Wulfen 2: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/204741-introducing-the-wulfen/#findComment-2448231 Share on other sites
Beef
I like the paint skeme on the wulfen, I loke the arms you have used. I like how the eyes of Jorin look plucked out. What i think you needed to do was make the faces of the wulfen look a bit more feral/animalistic. not out an out wulfen like the old mini but slightly lupine. Skirax
Cheers Beef, but how do I make them look lupine? Bear in mind that my GS fu sucks when working to precise pieces (e.g. Fangs, claws etc.) Unless I should make their hair more wild? Night Runner
Very fearsome Skirax, I like them a lot. I might have put less thick fur on the arms but that is just my preference. Congrats :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/204741-introducing-the-wulfen/#findComment-2448590 Share on other sites
Skirax
Cheers NR. Will hopefully finish the other two tonight - school work permitting. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/204741-introducing-the-wulfen/#findComment-2448983 Share on other sites
Azron
Very nice models, Skirax To make them look less human, I'd darken the skin around the eyes, to make them look sunken. But otherwise, nice modelling, and nice paint job Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/204741-introducing-the-wulfen/#findComment-2453644 Share on other sites
Skirax
Cheers Azron, ok will try that :D and your Wulfen model is nearly done :) New, Land Raider Spartan: Rear View: Over the head view: Hope you like it :) Still gotta finish it, like add the Heavy Bolters at each end, but C&C is greatly appreciated. TeamLando
Nice conversions brother, you should check out the beastmen ungors, they're really good for converting wulfen! Nice heads, alot of nice hair and furry clawed hands. http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/...dId=prod460010a Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/204741-introducing-the-wulfen/#findComment-2454523 Share on other sites
