Hello fellow nurglings!

Hope this is a right place for a sort of a blog.

I've been playing Warhammer (both FB and 40k) for 10 years. First (and for a really long time) I used to play 40k orks and FB chaos. Why orks? Because they are "converters heaven", and I really enjoyed the feeling. I really loved "shooty" theme, with lots of lootas and similar over-firepowered guys, which I converted and painted in vast numbers. like theese:

But more than a year ago, I gave my army to a guy attending ETC, and he forgot the transport in a taxi. I got the cash from him, and started thinking of new army.

Well, I'm interested in winning and I decided to play a newly arrived space wolves, an all-terminator loganwing. But after getting and converting about 10 of them (including converted Logan) I understood, that marines don't fit me at all. At the same time I didn't feel like re-converting and recollecting huge ork army. I don't like making the same thing twice.

So with dozen of terminators and few other models at hand I decided to start an obli\termi based chaos army.

Since I play nurgle beastmen in FB, i know alot about painting nurgle, so a DeathGuard was my choice.

So, with a dozen of terminators, I decided to start with fulfilling a 1000 pts goal.

It looks a bit lacking wheels... Well... Seriosly lacking wheels... But that will be the next step.

Lord of Chaos

Power weapon

105 pts

Terminators x4

Autocannon

fist

chainfist

170 pts

8 plague marines

champion, fist, plasma rifle

239 pts

9 plague marines

champion, fist, plasme rifle

262 pts

Obliterators x3

225 pts

Total

1001 pts.

So, its not too competitive, but I think on a 1000 format it can do something.

My first obliterator is in a neighbouring topic, but I'll post one angle here too.

He is not conventional "astrated" look. Based on FB ogre.

And here is the first plague marine. AoBR conversion. That weird "horn" under his backpack is a handle of a blade, attached under pack. The photo doesn't reveal it well. The backpack was missing (this is a marine I got for free, and the only one I have by now =))

And another "conventional" obliterator based on AoBR terminator and my lootas conversion kit.

He is posed to be "shooting" note the empty shells.

Still really much job to do, since he has to fit the same squad with the fat ogre-bliterator.

I would suggest that you trim the PM squads down to seven members each. That will be more fluffy and it will allow you the points to grab a pair of rhinos to zip around in. If you don't own any rhinos, get some. Mechanization is your friend, and it also protects your guys from AP 3 pie plates of death. A couple of dedicated transports will force enemies to choose whether to commit their big guns to killing the rhinos or the termies.

not to mention the most important thing about having 7 plague marines. Sacred number! You might as well try and get nurgle on your side as much as possible.

Not only that, but the number 7 does have a habit of turning up if you look for it, use this to freak out your opponant by pointing it out every time it happens, Oh i rolled 7 wounding shots with my vindicator, Oh thats 7 saves i have to make, oh look you passed that ld test on a 7 etc :)

As an old ork player I thought that 8 is too little, but 7 is even less... Though, I'm sure you know better. So 7 each and 2 rhinos might be a plan. Actually, heavy mechanization was my next step

(getting 2 rhinos, increasing number of termies, and giving them a LR, which is ultimate AFAIK)
