Hfran Morkai
Hey all, I'm currently running through the transfer sheets I have and assigning the emblems for pack markings. But I seem to have hit a snag, there are too few designs available in large quantities and therefore I'm thinking about doubling up some symbols on different backgrounds to represent Blood Claws and Hunters respectively. However I'm not sure if this actually makes sense as surely the pack would keep the markings for the life of their service unless inducted into the Wolf Guard. Thoughts? Kjarl Bluetooth
However I'm not sure if this actually makes sense as surely the pack would keep the markings for the life of their service unless inducted into the Wolf Guard. I see it like this: a brand new group of inductees are assigned to a Blood Claws pack and they get given their pack marking - typically in most packs this will be in red/yellow after many years fighting the pack numbers are whittled down and the Wolf Lord finally deems that the survivors are worthy of promotion to Grey Hunters. They now adopt a new pack marking which is typically red/black. For me, I see that the easiest transition for the pack is to just paint those yellow portions of their original pack markings black finally after many hundreds of years the remaining pack members qualify to become Long Fangs. They now adopt the final change to their pack marking which is black/white. Again, for me all they'd do is paint the red portions of their original pack markings white In your case, I can't see that Blood Claw and Grey Hunter packs would be using the same symbol albeit on different background colours for the same reason as above. The symbol is theirs and they'd retain it for the whole period of their service. You could always combine a symbol with a rune - this combination would widen your choice.
