Brother Turok
Hi all, so I was lucky enough to come into an army of 10 3rd edition deamonettes, 5 seekers, 20 'letters, 15 horrors, 5 plaguebearers, herald on jugg, skulltaker, 2 karanaks, 2 furies, and a khorne lord on juggernaut, for about $140. However, I have had had to strip everything except for the khorne lord's juggernaut which was mint in box. So I figure since skulltaker is one of my favorites and I have him and a khorne lord's juggernaut (what a coincidence!), I would convert a skulltaker on juggernaut. However, I have two ways of doing this and I want to get opinions first. I will be cutting the sword out of his right hand and placing chain reigns in it's stead. I will be placing his sword in his left hand, like he is raising it to swipe at someone as he gallops past. Here is my dilema: My first option is to pin his left foot to the top of the left rear leg of the juggernaut and pin his right foot to a spike just behind the juggernaut's right front leg. Many people say he looks like he is 'surfing' this way, but I think it looks ok. He would look somewhat like this one I found: http://browse.deviantart.com/?qh=§ion=&am...ernaut#/d2ax87g Second option would be to cut up his cloak so he can sit on the juggernaut right in front of the rear legs. He would look somewhat like this then: http://www.librarium-online.com/forums/cha...ggernaught.html http://www.librarium-online.com/forums/pai...juggernaut.html I think the second option doesn't make the model look so huge since skulltaker would be sitting lower on the model. However, I think that standing on the back holding reigns looks almost more natural since no other bloodletter actually 'sits' on a juggernaut (if you look at the juggernaut 'letter and herald models, they are both 'standing' on the juggernaut in different poses). I think this lends itself to the idea that the bloodletters and skulltaker are almost leaping off the back to kill something since they are frenzied about killing. So before I start pinning Skulltaker or hacking him up with a saw, let me know what you all think is best. Thanks all and I will see if I can get pics up of this conversion as it takes place.
