ragnor of the iron wolf
okay so im trying to add more to my wolves fluff then them just being ghosts of space wolves that died in warp, so i was thinking of calling then the 10th wolf expeditionary force, they were sent to terra to try to aid with the defenders during the attack by horrus but never arrived due to a terrable warp accident, would this work with the way space wolves work? Jarl Bloodwolf
I don't see why not. Wolves travel through the warp just like everyone else and are just as likely to fall afoul within its depths as anyone else. The ghosts idea intrigues me as I kind of did the same thing except a Space Wolf company was wiped out fighting against a daemon horde of nurgle and then their bodies where possesed by those daemons so instead of ghosts I have daemonicly animated dead Space Wolves (Russ forgive me) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/204931-my-wolfs-fluff/#findComment-2444138 Share on other sites

Lord Ragnarok
I don't think it is feasible given the distance we were from Terra and the fact we were ambushed by the alpha legion in space and required mysterious aid to win. However, perhaps that same "help" was able to transport a small but effective force only to have something go awry. ragnor of the iron wolf
im confused, when did we get ambushed by the alpha legion was that in one of the heresy books i havent read the space wolf one yet Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/204931-my-wolfs-fluff/#findComment-2444423 Share on other sites
Jarl Bloodwolf
im confused, when did we get ambushed by the alpha legion was that in one of the heresy books i havent read the space wolf one yet It was because of the Alpha Legion that the Space Wolves wern't able to fight in the seige of Terra. The SW requested aid from the White Scars but the White Scars headed for Terra and kind of left us hanging. You could have it be so a force was already headed to Terra before the Alpha Legions ambush Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/204931-my-wolfs-fluff/#findComment-2444671 Share on other sites

Jarl Bloodwolf
makes since, but do space marines send expeditionary forces? As far as expeditionary forces I'm not so sure about that as that emplies setteling worlds and such which isn't what the Astartes do but I do think there are a few chapters that are tasked with expanding the Imperiums borders. Also the question isn't so much would Space Marines do that its more along the lines of would Space Wolves do that which to me is a yes, think of Wolf Guard Battle Leaders leading battle groups. ragnor of the iron wolf
i was thinking of the expeditionary forces sent to europe durring ww1, not people settling worlds, kinda like a rapid deployment force Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/204931-my-wolfs-fluff/#findComment-2445019 Share on other sites
