WIP Vindicator Command Tank

Greetings Frater!

Some may have seen the Land Raider Ares I converted up in this forum, using the parts from the plastic vindicator kit. Well, not to be put off by the missing parts, I had a scrounge through my bits box for suitable replacements so the rest of the Vindicator kit didn't go to waste.

Here are the results, all done and ready for painting:

That is awesome. I really like the use of bits from all sorts of vehicle kits. I see at least land raider, drop pod, and russ?

 

You're making me want to change all my rhinos up to look like this.

Nice battlecanon conversion.

Only one question:

Did you think the engine is a little bit big with regard to your tank?

Furthermore, go you to protect it by an armour-plate or to leave it like that ?

@Dan the Deamon: I used parts from... Vindicator, Predator, Baal Predator, Land Raider, and Leman Russ tanks, as well as parts from the Drop Pod kit.

 

@little: I like the engine as it is, it goes with the exposed engine on my Ares to tie the two together, and makes use of one of the spare Razorback/Predator turret rings that come on every Rhino sprue. I have dozens of the damn things and wanted to find a use for one! :lol:

I think it's super dumb to have an external loader. Looks ridiculous. Rest is super duper!

I love the engine you have there, I think it would look pretty good with some photo etched brass grills over the engine after you paint it.
