land raider shooting rhino+squad?

if i use the multi melta on the raider to destroy a rhino could i use power of the machine spirit to shoot the tac squad that was inside?

yes. i believe the PotMS can be used to fire an additional weapon at a seperate target. all be it at a lower BS.

No, all shooting from a unit is simultanious, regardless of if the unit can hit multiple targets

Yeah it actually specifically mentions that situation somewhere in the BRB, but I can't seem to remember where.

I don't think that the current C:SM Machine Spirit has a lower BS.

Only for the new marine codexes (BA,SW, C:SM), the older ones still have the fires at BS2 rule.

yeah old ones get BS2 and can move when stuned, new ones get BS4 but cant move. (I also think old ones have to fire at the same target as the rest of the tank too, but could be misremembering that)

That would be the case for the DA codex... and the BTs.

What you CAN do is melta the transport with the raider and assault with your squad inside it... at the transported troops :P
