Painting Vehicle Seats. What Colour?

Simple question. What colour do you paint your vehicles seats. Are they leather seats? Wood seats? Steel?

 

debating which way to go with mine.

Steel seats for mine, because comfy marines are an abomination.

I went for a nice brown leather - the seats in a Land Raider look cushioned, but a flowery pattern seemed a bit off.

I often paint them as leather. but I figure they might be steel. the landraider ones even if they look like they got butt impressions it might just be steel made so for an easier sit =)

 

I think it depends on what other colours you got. guess it mainly shows on a speeder or bike (the seat that is) and what seem to work best with the rest of the scheme.

 

I don't see how a marine in a power armour actually would need leather seats =p

I have red seats on my black land speeders because it is a big contrast.

It all depends how they're modelled. The benches like in a Rhino's interior are painted in a metal, seats with more 'ribs' like on land speeders are usually painted as a leather (be it reddish, brown or black). I try to pick a color that fits with the overall color scheme of the vehicle though.

My bikes and speeders have a deep red colour to their seats to contrast with their Ravenwing black body colour and my tanks bench tops are coloured the same as the tank armour which so far is bone coloured, DA green, black and red.

Leather for bikes and speeders. I do not paint seats inside of the vehicles, since I do not paint their interior either.
