so they have bolter BP and CCW..does that mean i get the extra +1 attacks for having 2 CCW in CC? this confuses me...havent played alot of games this ed.

Yes.

 

Bolter, BP and chainsword means you get to use whatever combination you like per turn. Rapid fire bolters and receive the charge, or bolt pistols and launch it. All depends on whether or not you're figuring your dice will get you the LD test for counterattack or not...

When you combine this load out with counter-change, plus all the GH weapon options and the fact you can have WG with TDA, the result is a highly flexible backbone unit that can handle most encounters and situations it comes up against on the gaming table.

GHs are the best! I usually run my squads at full strength w/ two special weapons, a powerfist, standard, MotW, and a rhino. It gets pricey, somewhere around 246pts., but they sure can deal a lot of damage.

 

For the special weapons, I usually go with two of the same, i.e. 2x meltaguns or 2x plasmaguns; I try not to use flamers on my GH units b/c they have a high enough BS skill to take advantage of the better guns.

I am running mine in packs of 9 - Mark, standart, PW, Melta, Rhino + WG with fist and combimelta.
