Solid
Took these pics for a wip thread once I finished him, Posting to share my sarrow. Started this Forge world dread as a furioso for my Blood angels and the other day I got home from work to find him smashed, in a pool of blood on the floor. He was in my Army transport because of a test game at a freinds house and he happen to be on top of it opened on a chair. My freind came bye to drop some stuff off wile I was at work and her 2 year old daughter ( i had my guesses but now im a sure a deciple of khorn and a world eater non the less) pulled my army transport down and steped on him HARD( she rolld a few 6s im sure), but he made a good show. She happen to be bare foot and his blood talons managed to draw some blood befor he was destroyed. I didnt take any pics, I was too sad just crawled around on the floor to try and find most of the pices. Maybe ill make him a objective marker , the Angels fighting ever harder to get a wreaked fruioso back. toaae
For our fallen brother... Objective marker sounds awesome, though. I'd love to see it! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/205305-death-of-a-dreadnaught/#findComment-2448615 Share on other sites

Defiant to the end, a glorious death in battle against a terrible enemy. What more could a brother ask for? Tell me brother, did this hero have a name? Nomus Sardauk
Ah, a former assault sergeant you say? That would explain his "melee expertise" against your friend's daughter. Assault Sergeant Artillious of the 2nd Company, rest now, go to sit at the Emperor's side. Your deeds shall be consigned to the scrolls of the Librarium and through this your spirit shall live on, your example inspiring new generations of Blood Angels to their own acts of heroism. Requiescat In Pace. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/205305-death-of-a-dreadnaught/#findComment-2448650 Share on other sites
Whitefireinferno
I am sorry to hear of the loss Cousin a brother in arms that will be missed. Altho does make me glad My dreds are the metal ones and have beaten many a toddler in combat well both my mates children. But For a hero to be forgotten is for his exploits to go forgotten and as long as tales of Assault Sergeant Artillious from the 2nd Co are still alive within the chapters halls he still fights and from this day on fights at the side Of Sanguinis. Blood and Honour brother for even in the face of destruction he fought on and will be honoured. douchie
I'm gutted for you mate, bad times. I built mine from the forgeworld bits also, & aside from the clear emotional loss in terms of time invested in building the model, the financial cost alone must have stung. I take it this child will be cleaning your car & windows etc for many years to come to pay you back for the loss. Commendation's to your dreadnaught, atleast he went down fighting! Inquisitor Kravin
A terrible shame, from the WIP shots looks like a great model. Two weeks ago my pride & joy Ragnar Blackmane model went through the washing machine and tumble dryer - I share your pain. Wysten
Still, is the damage to the todders foot serious though? I know she was obivously the one that stood on the dreadnort, but those claws may sever some senstive areas. Needless to say, perhaps you need a fortress (safe I mean) to hide them in. Mostwanted
The way you wrote the post was quite humerous, made me laugh, not about the little un getting hurt though. That looked a great model. What did you use for the claws? I can see that they aren't the claws that come with the Forgeworld close combat weapons. They work really well. Demoulius
glad to hear the todler is ok....im a 40k player and dont particulary like kids (for various reasons i dont wanna talk about...will bring up memories :)) but i dont like to see them get damaged either. ( our models can just get a new foot or you can fix the problem with some gs bionics...bit harder with rl people :D) that said... OMG!!!! such a shame! such an awesome model :( glad to hear he went die fighting at least...to the dread that toddler was a titan! he damaged its drives! epic last stand :P just put that in his fluff and turn him into an objective. will add to the gaming feel if your fighting over an ancient one ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/205305-death-of-a-dreadnaught/#findComment-2449283 Share on other sites

Priest33
What an amazing model and what a horrid way of losing such a glorious model. :tu: I seriously hope your "friend" compensated you for the loss due to her/his child wilfully destroying him in such an act of pure malice. Such a shame that you cant now step on the child and see if it likes being steped on. Lynnean
that's just horrible.... rest in peace, brother sergeant. but, is there no way to repair him? or even claim it? salsaprime
I love the way you wrote this up, suspecting your friend and her daughter to be agents of Chaos and such. I am sad for your loss though, as it looks like an insane amount of love and care went to him, especially that green stuffing, which looks brilliant. He shall not be forgotten. Requiem of the Wolf
Tis a sad day indeed. Makes me glad my pups know better then to do such things,But like the rest I grieve for your loss. I think that the idea to make it an objective marker is a great one...and I would definitely have words with the parental unit of the little Berserker and make sure sure he understands the time and cost of such a thing...and then step on him if he doesn't compensate you. I am glad to hear that the kiddo, though a little destructive monster, wasn't permanently damaged...hopefully it hurt like hell and will teach her not to do such things in future as well. Librarian R. Zreiker
So the kid won either way, as Khorne cares not from where the blood flows... This is also why I always keep spiky bits on my important models.
