savis
Hi there, Just thought I'd post my two latest ebay recoveries. One old metal venerable dread (that was converted to chaos and basically stuck together with green stuff) and one standard plastic. Both were stripped and cleaned and then overhauled with minor conversions so they matched the imagery of my DIY chapter. They are painted to a table top quality. Please tell me what you think. http://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/2010/6/28/116493_md-Dreadnought,%20Rifleman,%20Space%20Marines.JPG http://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/2010/6/28/116494_md-Dreadnought,%20Rifleman,%20Space%20Marines.JPG http://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/2010/6/28/116495_md-Dreadnought,%20Rifleman,%20Space%20Marines.JPG Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/205308-twin-riflemen/ Share on other sites
ShinyRhino
Nice work for refurb work. Not a huge fan of the weedy connection points on the autocannons. Looks like a stiff breeze would disarm these guys :) Paint work is very nice, and I like that freehand whorl on the plastic Dread's chestplate. savis
I hear you about the joints, I'll try to remove the magnets and countersink them to make them less flimsy. Thanks for the nicecomment about the freehand, it's an actual mayan symbol said to represent all consciousness that has ever existed in this galaxy. Divergent Reality
The freehand is rather nice. I also agree about countersinking the magnets. It will make them a bit more flush, enhancing the armored feel of the dreadnoughts. glayvin34
it's an actual mayan symbol said to represent all consciousness that has ever existed in this galaxy. That's awesome! I bet a Dreadnought would have a very unique concept of consciousness... Do you have a link to a detailed explanation of that symbol? If not, cool, I'm just curious.
