Sons of Russ Carry the Day

Well after nearly 9 months of playing my Wolves I picked up my first win against the traitorous filth of Mortarion's Legion in a Dawn of War Annihilation match. I won on kill points 7 to 6 and managed to take out Typhus with a last minute missile launcher shot after he had destroyed my rune priest, wolf priest, and TDA wolf guard. The rune priest made up his points earlier in the match, destroying a demon prince with a full d6 worth of living lightning shots. Good game against a great opponent.

Your fallen brothers will be missed ... but now they fight along side Russ!

Great to hear about your victory, and downing a "character" reaps its own rewards.

Sounds like that Rune Priest needs his own Saga now, the Long Fang with the Missile Launcher most definately should.

Saga of the Fly-Swatter:

This Long Fang has shown an unusual amount of skill at picking off Death Guard commanders through the swarms of flies that shield them. From now on he may re-roll ranged to hit rolls against any unit with Mark/Icon of Nurgle.

Saga of the Zapper:

Due to his frequent impersonation of a lightning rod, this Rune Priest has gained something of a reputation among his enemies. In the hostile player's turn after the Rune Priest has slain a model with the Living Lightning psychic power, enemy units must take a leadership-test in order to assault him. If this test is failed they may choose another unit within range to assault as they hurriedly switch to a less frightning foe.
