Zacharius
Fixed up the kneepads, and took pictures from multiple angles: http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p1/tripswitch84/BA4.jpg http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p1/tripswitch84/BA3.jpg http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p1/tripswitch84/BA2.jpg http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p1/tripswitch84/BA1.jpg Just a thought for next time on the wings- have you considered pinning them in place instead of just wedging them in by the jump pack? I don't think that would really make a difference, not on this model anyway - there's nowhere else I could realistically pin them too without having them in exactly the same place, they wouldn't actually fit anywhere else. Firepower
See, now it's gorgeous crazy crap like yours that makes it hard to stay off the new codex bandwagon <_< . Beautifully done man, though Im not 100% sold on the color of the cape, kinda blends with the jump pack too much for my taste. You've done Papa Sang proud :)
Beef
Beautiful red there. You make it seem easy, how many coats for each red? you say 50/50 dark earth/blood red but what i want to know is how many coats did you do of that mix to get it looking so good? Zacharius
Each layer was just a single coat. I kept each at roughly a 2:1 paint to water ratio, which seemed to be just right.
Zealadin
Very nice that looks amazing! The cloak does seem very similar to the jump pack colour wise, but its an amazing peice of work to say the least!
Crynn
How on earth does that look like sanguinius? Nice model though, my only nit pick is the wings being fehtered but still joined to a power pack. I think astoraths wings would have fitted better IMO It's based on an alternative interpretation of Sanguinius, the picture I posted in the first page of the thread. So by looks like sanguinius you mean has red armour and wings on his helmet? Really? Sorry but a giant axe a melta pistol, and wings mounted onto a jump pack? This doesnt look anything like or feel anything like sangunius. The interpretation may have come from the picture but I wasnt saying he didnt get the design from that picture, I was just astonished how someone could possibly think this was a model of Sanguinius.
