zepar is first captain of the 8th grand company of the eighth legion. he wears terminator armour and is recently described here in gathering souls a nightlord fluff story I wrote.

"The twin monsters sundered through those in their path, as the battlefield parted, routing the Imperial Guardsmen before them. The bright yellow of the marines soon appeared before the midnight clad giants only to be shattered against taloned fist, demonic blade, and reactive shells from twin combi-bolters. The first giant appeared like Death itself, with spectre mask and skeletal remains adorning his tattered raiment. Midnight blue terminator armour cowled with bat-winged skull, protected the monster as he ripped the arm from his yellow-armoured foe, then impaled him upon the bladed point of his axe. Tipping his head back the first giant laughed as his long hair blew about his features."

i'm also working on his twin in the sotry but that will be awhile as zepar's a little easier to get corpses for. I plan on using the wolf terminator head with the partial goatee and then sculpting the hair to length and maybe the partial phantom of the opera style skull mask. other then vampire skeletons we just know he's using biggerized terminators as my current army is using doghouses acutal scaled power armour for the army and these twins are monsters in size next to normal termies.

I'd say use a Mechanicus marine's torso and shave off the scull so you can greenstuff it without wasting a nice looking piece.

And use a Shoulderpad like how people do scratch built librarians for the head-thing, and use the skull from the torso for the top piece, and some Dark Angel wings for the sides.

Hope it helps, thats what I would think of using.

 

Well...since hes a Terminator. You don't need the shoulderpad ;) but I would still use a skull from the Mechanicus torso and the DA wings from the Land Speeder scanner thing.

Well, I finally decided to finish Telion. It was actually pretty difficult :( I don't like the arm placements at all, but I have no ideas on how to fix them! His left arm seems to be at an awkward angle (and his left hand seems huge (Its a SM arm, thats why :lol: )) and his right arm seems to be pointing down funny...

But I am REALLY happy with the beard. :D When I went to take the pictures, I smooshed half of it with my thumb...I was sad...but it wasn't super hard to redo. :D

I based it off of this Scibor Sculpt, it was decent looking enough and the price wasn't terrible plus he had a cool base! I might swap his sword as well, though. Also should I use a white basecoat or black one to make a good gold color for his armor?

I think it depends a lot on if you want a really bright nice, shiny, gold or a more dull, weathered gold. I personally think a dirty gold would look good, as a Primarch doesn't exactly shy away from getting in the thick of it.

 

And could I suggest making some sort of a collar so his head doesn't just stick out of a flat surface where his chest ends?

 

Other than that everything looks great! Cap'n Mick I like your new scheme, and I really dig the cloak. Astador looking great as always!

Yup, are you wanting a darker or lighter look. I've seen your yellows before and they stand out well, so base your decision on that.

I'm not sure if the sword is very Dornian though. He's more of a hammer/fist/chainsword kind of guy. I agree with the idea for the collar though.

Thanks guys, I think I will go for a black base coat, any idea on how to warm up the gold, like a purple or red wash? Or should he have a colder gold? In the end I guess I will keep the sword because it is too cool to cut off and plus every Fist is good with swords right? Could be a gift from Ferrus or something..

Dorn is looking good. I have been thinking about using minis like that for Primarchs. How large is he in comparison to a regular marine/terminator? You dont happen to have a true scaled guy to compare him with? :)

Today i painted a Rhino and 3 Chaos Spawn (if this counts as not PA related please ask and i will remove the picture`s, same as the plaguebearers that will come soon). To bad the picture`s are very blobby but in real u dont see it really. The only model that looks abit real is the green spawn :lol: .
