Looks better, but keep in mind it's not usual to see the entire pupil of the eye normally. usually the top portion is obscured by the upper eye lid. Eyes are difficult to do, it took me a long time to be able to do them so that I was happy with them. Having a black ring around the outer perimeter of the eye also helps tone down the wide eyed stare effect but it takes a steady hand to pull off.

Mick: I have the same problem for my Alpha Legion. Snow and wind is not good :P

Terminatorinhell, about dorn. I think that you should try and give the armour a wash of either Devlan Mud or Gryphonne Sephia to shade and dull the gold a bit. Try it first on a test model, perhaps :P If you fix the teeth the face is kinda good to go, and the armour could use some shading. That way you'll be able to kick traitor butt with him very soon =D That said, I hate painting gold and stay away from it as much a possible, so I might be all wrong.

From my experiences, Ogryn Flesh gives any gold that nice glazed bronze feel that you want with Dorn's armour, as any picture (That I've seen of him) paints him in a dull gold.

Cpt. Mick - those DG are nice models.... almost enough to sway me form the righteous path! The FW DG stuff is really cool and i'm liking it a lot.

I'm still swithering over picking up Severin Lloth and his retinue as something a little different to paint - i know heresy from the BT player!!

Wow, I missed a lot in a day...

Termie: Dorn looks great. The eyes are better than I'd ever be able to do, but Ussel's point with the iris' is correct. Not sure how you'd be able to fix that, but maybe with a very steady hand with the skin tone. But I think its fine how it is.

Mick, Those are some fine models and conversions. Terminator 1 is awesome. But my favorite is #2, with the greenstuff coming out from under his shoulderpads! The Dreadnought is awesome too. ^_^

I haven't done much, but I was able to base 25 of my unbased models. I'm working on veteranizing them up with all those little bitz. :P

My recipe for gold is this:

Iyanden Darksun base (usually over a black undercoat)

Add a layer of a metallic yellow artist acrylic paint (made by Dali)

And a nice Devlan mud wash over it.

It comes out a beautiful burnished gold, very rich and dark.
