Natanael
I love that CCW! Very AL. Although why a 25mm base? Isnt in a wee bit small? I use 40mm on mine. Yeah, I had a discussion about the bases with a friend, since I find the 25mm ones a bit small as well. The 40mm seemed to big, however, so I considered buying some 30mm ones, but then he aired the very good point of tournament play, were people might complain. That's why I give them 25mm with some rocks sticking out so that the bases are in fact 25mm but the mini is standing on something more like 30-40mm. =D There is another one you havent seen in my blog, so be sure to check it out. @ Mick: Oh. Are you you by some chance located in the south of sweden? :cuss Looks like my backyard. @ Ludovic: Maybe we should give it a try. Shame if something gets messed up tough. But I think that wet weather is worse. Snow and cold works most of the time, as Terminatorinhell says. And since my last post was made in a hurry: Shortsonfire79: Marines look nice. Have you bought a single building and chopped it up or a whole set? - Natanael Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/205686-international-brotherhood-of-hobbyists/page/43/#findComment-2593409 Share on other sites

Terminatorinhell
Thats a fine lookin ultramarine mate. As far as my stuff is going, I tried the light ogryn wash on Dorn and it gave his armor a nice old gold look to it, it looks a bit deeper too , I might darken the recesses a bit more though. No pics for a couple days though.... Natanael
Looks good so far Ludovic. His head is huge, however. I think I might have strayed too far into true scale-territory :) Not used to seeing that big of a head on that small of a body :) Great that the wash worked, terminator. Looking forward to more pics. - Natanael Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/205686-international-brotherhood-of-hobbyists/page/43/#findComment-2593616 Share on other sites
Dark Apostle Thirst
Seeing as I'm part of this Brotherhood, and wish to watch this enormously venerable thread, I shall post, and contribute my own projects, although I won't post here too often with an update. My favored project, the Thing... Terminatorinhell
I like the top half of the mini, but the bottom needs to be more mechanical or better gs worked. It just looks like gs rolls, not tentacle or crab legs. Dark Apostle Thirst
It just looks like gs rolls :D I plan on adding detail later... These are the core and basic shapes of them though. That's been difficult enough to keep them smooth, not lumpy, and similar in length and thickness (barring the front two, which are smaller intentionally). I need a lot more practice before I get details in there though, I'll practice on smaller projects. Natanael
Oh sweet emperor. This had actually skipped down to page 3 :( , so I thought I might as well share some news with you guys. I told myself that I should not do more stuff until I got home from Kenya in a few weeks, but since I had a little problems with my GS (if you read my blog you know) I did some stuff anyway. Here is a quick pic of the start of another 5 marines for my Alpha Legion, as well as some Fenrisan Wolves for my SW. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_NF-Rh-XibKo/TRJBse1y4GI/AAAAAAAAAKo/a_-0IDH_h2s/s320/IMG_1022.JPG Now I have also managed to almost finish the last two marines of combat squad 1, and I'll show you guys as soon as I manage some pics on my blog. Also, if you happen to look at my blog, post a quick comment. It means a lot to me to know that ppl actually look at what I do :) Cheers, - Nat Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/205686-international-brotherhood-of-hobbyists/page/43/#findComment-2597397 Share on other sites
Dark Apostle Thirst
I can't see really well, but if the Fenrisian Wolves are Greenstuffed they are excellent. I would normally extend some advice, so... I think the legs of the wolves need to be beefed out and extended some. They seem slight in comparison to the rest of the body(s?). Natanael
They are GSd. And the legs are all boney, so they usually gets painted as metal. That way I can use them as both Fen Wolves and Cyberwolves if I want to. Anyway, here is my last progress before I go to africa for 2 weeks. I present to you, more Alpha Legion: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_NF-Rh-XibKo/TROe4J3OwxI/AAAAAAAAAK8/iV6Ljwu2I7U/s320/DSC00883.JPG There is a few more pics of the last guy, and all five together, on my blog. Pig Of Sparta
+++ INCOMING ASTROPATHIC TRANSMISSION +++ transmission source: unknown/unrecognised originator ID: ***confirmed*** secure link: established +++ message begins +++ Thought for the Day: "If the road is easy, the destination is worthless." Saint Sabbat, Epistles. Hail Brothers! The warp shall have to try harder to claim my soul, for my return to these hallowed halls is almost at hand. First I'd like to wish you all a Happy New Year! May the Beneficient God-Emperor, or indeed the Ruinous Powers bring us all we need and want in 2011. Secondly, I'd like to say that I've missed you all. I'm now back online in an albeit limited fashion so my sojurn in solitude is now mostly over. Things are starting to settle down in the real world as well. Although here is not the place to discuss such things, 2011 is looking to be a year of new beginnings. Thirdly, to those who left me messages of support and understanding and those who've kept the torches burning, thankyou. Truly we have forged a brotherhood and I only hope that one day I can return the service you have done me . Now enough soppy-ness, over the last few weeks or so I've found some time to paint, so I thought I'd share with you what I've been up to. It's nothing earth-shattering I'm afraid (although once I get going, I'll get some photos of my Achilles up ;)), but it has allowed me to get used to painting again, as well as provding a welcome distraction: http://i347.photobucket.com/albums/p456/pigofsparta/New%20Beginnings/DSCN2905.jpghttp://i347.photobucket.com/albums/p456/pigofsparta/New%20Beginnings/DSCN2907.jpghttp://i347.photobucket.com/albums/p456/pigofsparta/New%20Beginnings/DSCN2908.jpg Obviously still a way to go before he's close to being finished but I think he's progressing quite well :(. I've had a couple of opportunities to checkout the posts since I 'checked out' recently and I have to say that everyone's stuff is looking pretty good. Captain Mick deserves a speed painting award for the hordes he is offering up to Papa Nurgle's service! Terminatorinhell's Dorn is very impressive looking and Dark Apostle Thirst's 'Thing' is nice and gribbly. Not to mention all the other work everyone else has done.
