Jeep Posted July 4, 2010 Share Posted July 4, 2010 I have been pretty busy since I posted 9 months ago on the AG by-monthly appoc. games. While I have worked behind the scenes for these I have yet to have a free weekend to actually play in one. However that does not mean I am not preparing for it. Below is a portion of the Leviathan project, the rest of the IG stuff can be read at Imperial Guard message board were IG discussions belong. It is my hope that the revamped salamanders and to finish my Dark Angles will also be posted into this thread. I am really pleased with how the Doomsday cannon is turning out. It at least looks like a cannon and not a over sized plumbing fixture. I also was struggling with how to finish the leviathan. While I was airbrushing all those tanks previously posted on a whim sprayed the leviathan too. This left me with what to do about the shiny bits of the alters and monuments to past glories. I decided to paint them Dwarf bronze these then "tarnish" them with some green paint and green washes. then I went back and hit them up again with bronze and a light high light of silver. I also added some trophy's and tokens of appreciation from certain space marine chapters to the command tower. I have also added a railing all the way around the main deck. Next on the agenda is the coms and Vox tower on the secondary deck, I plan on hanging banners from the tower. Jeep Posted July 7, 2010 Author Share Posted July 7, 2010 I have no space wolf banner (yet) but there is a couple of places to add them. you would be amazed at the "magical properties" of distance, shape, shine, and well placed camo nets.
