TWC Terminators

I had the idea of putting 2 marine models on 60mm bases to represent the 2 wounds multiple attacks of the TWC but I couldnt find a way to represent the 12'' charge. Im thinking about putting Jump packs on my terminators and still putting 2 termies on a base and saying that while they cant fly like assault marines the jump packs allow them to get a boost on the charge which will explain the 12'' charge.

Is this a horrible idea? Would it be allowed at tournaments? They should be easily recognizable as not being standard termies since there are 2 on a 60mm base.

The TW made by Paulson games and the others are very good.

If you can stretch your money to get them, I think you'd be very happy with them.

Then there is no "What's that?.... oh" going on.

Two Terminators don't have the volume of TWC and some might be frustrated that your unit is not on par with Canis, size wise.

I use a DIY chapter so wolves are out of the question and I cant paint the Lion from the Chrace Chariots well enough to be on the table with the rest of my army. I was gonna use standard marines at first to symbolize the strong brotherhood aspect of my chapter so if anyone can think of a way to symbolize the 12'' charge Im all ears,
TDA on a segway? :P

Why cant you use the lions?

Maybe the wheels would shoot out sideways?

The lions are big, but not big enough, imo.

Imagine a man riding a horse.

Then imagine an ogre riding an elephant.

Now put the ogre on the horse.

"Whaaat arre you doing, Wilburrr?" :P

Someone put on Marine on a Goblin wolf just for a laugh. When charging, the Marine could use his legs to help the wolf go faster. Like the Flintstones cars.

I think the Lions of Chrace are like that, a bit to short and too skinny to satisfy a "logical imagination"

EDIT; How about a Marine with a Lion of Chrace under each foot and perhaps a leash down to each one?

That would work, there are also some pics of marines riding that lion, just have a look trough that thread

I love WL Mjolnirs paint job. The lion looks tough, just like the dashing SW.

On Oldenhaller's pictures

Great mini, but still a bit small imo.

I lol every time I see the shetland-wolf

I think tjis is a bad idea because the visuel narative would not fit with the rules.

Terminators are t4 and +2++5 save, thunder wolves asre t5+3 save. Terminators are slow, thunderwolves can move 6", run and charge because they are cavalery on a fenrisian wolves (and I only use wolf in a very loose sence here, they are faar to mutated and weard to be regular wolves.)

I have seen other convesions that fittet better, like an alfa legion player who used two marines with powerfists and heavy weaponds on a large base to be his obliterators, it fits and you understand what it is.

If you wanne bypass the whole no good wolf model problem then take the 13th warriont and just make a giant wulfen of one of the beatmen minotaurs. Just fasion his head more wolf like and give him some power armour. Say mark of the wulfen has taken it too far.

Well then make a walker he can ride on or something. Two temrinators with jetpacks sounds wrong. Of course go with whatever you want but froma thematic and narative point of wouv it just makes no sence.

It's like sticking a powersword on the end of a powefist and have it count as a powerfist and when people wonder if he has power claws or a chainfist they get confused.

I wouldn't say its a horrible idea ... but why?

No, I don't see these models being legal at touries. They'll be way up your butt for that.

You could use them at friendly games, if you can control your urges of knocking out opponents/"shirts" who snicker.

There is a thread about creating thunderwolves, and what players have done so far. It's not hard to find since it should be on the first or second page on this board.
