ravenguard2010
I'm getting back into 40k after probs like 5 years or so not having done anything with it and I'm in the middle of making a new Raven Guard army.. I've been busy converting lots of new models, and I'm especially happy with my new plastic jump pack librarian. Hopefully I can post up pics for you guys to see soon. But anyway, few quick questions.. When making my shadow captain, would it be acceptable to put him on a 40mm base? I'm not sure on the rules for allowing you to do this. I ask because I notice that Shrike is on a 28mm, but numerous models these days seem to be on the 40mm.. it might help me make him look all the more impressive on the larger base. Also, artificer armour, from what I can remember, its basically power armour that's modified somewhat? So in modelling terms does that mean that anything kinda goes? Within reason? Cheers. Arnil
Or without reason! The blood angel's artificer armor has nipples! It looks ridiculous! I do not think there is an issue mounting them on a bigger base....the rules state you can't mont them on a smaller base but they kinda encourage decorative bases you know... Solid Zaku
Yeah, they were going for the Grecian sculpture archetype with the new sculpts, but ended up pulling a Joel Schumacher on them...nipples. Montuhotep
As stated, you can put a model on a bigger base by all means, just so long as you don't put it on a smaller one. As to Artificier armour - we talking regular Marines here? ravenguard2010
Regular Raven Guard, but was thinking about giving my captain it just to improve his survivability. There's the whole supply shortage in the fluff, but I figure if someone's going to get artificer armour it'll be a captain. Thanks guys. Got two pics up of my assault squad sergeant and librarian in my gallery if your interested btw.
