an addition to the Saga of Njal the Stormcaller

Njal and my wolves were teamed up with some mechanized imperial guard for a tag team tournament....

In the second round we faced an objective grabbing match where each player could only hold their objective (ie SW hold only the SW objective) and the 5th objective was a free for all. Our little alliance was placed against a horde of Khornate chaos SM and some Orks.

 

Over the last 2 turns of the game Njal singlehandedly managed to defeat the enemy army.

Earlier on he had forced the ork nob bikers to flee after a very successful murderous hurricane, this left the central objective contested by both Njal and his Grey Hunters and a squad of 7 enemy orks (hidden behind a wall) Each team otherwise held one objective and was contesting the second one. At this point Njal's S9 tornadoes ripped a land raider to pieces and forced the berserkers inside to dismount. They were then his by murderous hurricaine and half of them died from dangerous terrain, eventually they charged me. My Hunters and Njal won combat easily. The next turn njal's forced morale check ability came into play and caused the orks contesting the central objective to flee. Nearing the bottom of the last turn my hunters were just to far from the objective to score but loe and behold Njal force weapons the last berserker and the squad consolidates 4 inches onto the objective. Victory for humanity.

 

The 3 Leeman Russ Tank Variants helped a little, but it was mostly njal......
