Ideas for SW conversions

Hello, I have been looking around for bits to use for space wolves conversions. Haven't really played the game long enough to know what bits I can use from other army ranges that would be good for space wolves conversions. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Aaron

A little searchy-searchy in the forum will fetch you some good ideas, but I've seen parts from Beastmen, Dwarves, Chaos (both WF and 40k) and a number of specialty parts as well.

Hope that helps.

Guess I'm not too good at using search. I did the search and saw some links on conversions but not what bits people have been using.

I checked out those armies you recommended, I found some backpacks form the dwarf and cadian lines. Didn't see any bits besides axes from the beastman army. Any particular bits from the beastmen and dwarf lines you recommend?

Any that look "wolfy!" I know others here have used various shields, axes, swords, skulls, etc... from a number of kits including, but not limited to those already named. You just have to ask yourself if a viking would be seen with whatever you're considering adding to your model; if the answer is 'yes,' then it will probably work on your wolves.

Some heads from the chaos horse man, there used to be a mordheim (?spelling?) sprue that had great heads, Dwarf axes, ironhand parts, Chaos spacemarine torso's, weapons heads and legs. Chaos sorcerer/lord has a nice pelt and weapons (love the claws) that can be used.

Ork axes and what not.

Look up a bits site like bits and kits and just browse trough the selection

Chaos SM terminator torsos are good. Old space wolves sprue - not so easy to come across novadays. Shields from dwarven and beastmen range from WFB, Chaos marauder and mounter marauder heads - including helmets - I've seen people filing off the horns. Warriors of Chaos - the heavy cloaks are good for wolf pelts and actually a SM torso can be easily modelled into them, with SM legs or the original pair of legs. I've used various Catachan hands on my scout conversions for a more feral look, as well as Chaos Marauder axes, hands and heads.
