Guardians Adamant

I have had this project at the back of my mind for awhile now. So I thought I would start putting my ideas and cognitive processes down here and see what they end up amounting too.

In the beginning this all started out as me trying to make a succesor chapter for the Salamanders (which are my favored 1st founding chapter). The idea behind them originally was to theme them after a Basilisk. That theme even developed to the point of have the marines slowly petrifying as they aged (using Legion of The Damned as a unit of Ancient Ones with their slowness) but the more I thought about that, the more I didn't like it.

So at the moment the way I am looking at going.

Chapter Name: Guardians Adamant

Chapter Badge: A Black Diamond

Geneseed: Imperial Fist

Main Colours (2nd Company as marked by the gold shoulder trim):

Founding Date: To Be Determined

Reason For Creation: To extend the influence of the Emperor in the <insert name> sector.

Homeworld: Midas IV. Named for the golden glow of its atmosphere. Originally thought to be uninhabited when the Imperium first explored this system. When the newly formed Guardians came across the world the planet was now home to human colonies. Investigation ensued.

Midas IV: When first discovered by the Imperium the explorers were attracted to the planet as it's readings showed extremely high levels of precious minerals. The excavation team descended upon the planet the landing crafts scanners showing strange readings as they descended through the golden mist. Too late did they realise the craft about them was turning to stone. As indeed did they, like a sickness the mist seeped into their bodies turning to stone as in infected with a strange disease. Their were many futile attempts to navigate the mist, all ending in failure. For this the world was labled a Dead World.

When the newly trained chapter fleet entered the system to start earning their name. The Dead World was showing signs of life. Further scans indicated that their was a human civilization upon the planet. The mist had receded leaving the mountains of the planet exposed and ready for life. When the marines landed they discovered Eldar. They had brought the humans to harvest the a rare mineral hidden deep within the planets crust. The marines entered the catacombs and drove the Eldar from the planet.

Looks good, colors are pretty sweet. Not much else to add really, need more info. Awesome name though.
