This is the first of my 20 Sternguard for part of an Imperial Fist strike force I am putting together for a campaign with a group of friends.

I would really like some C&C because I am new to the 'glowing' technique and I would love some pointers on doing writing on the scrolls and seals!

The yellow is not actually glossy, it is pretty flat, that was just the light that makes it shiney like that >.<.

His commanding officers will be Captain Kohli of the (generic battle company) (count as Kantor) and Captain Tomas of the 8th Company (count as Shrike, below).

Strike Force Hailstorm will initially be 750 points and we will start to scale up from there. I am trying to get him to create a profile and post some of his pics.

C&C again would be appreciated!

With thwe lighting effect try to diffuse the edges so they are not so hard. The easiest way is to shin the paint to a milky consistancy and then apply several layers to get a translucent effect. I'm quite lazy with my scrolls, I use deneb stone and then devlan mud and for parchment deneb followed by gryphonne sepia.

I like the rest of the mini, yellow is good and the paint job is tidy.

As an Imperial Fists player, I love it! Though one thing bothers me though. On the first model, why are the shoulder company pauldron's white? The same goes to the Eagle, (I believe it's supposed to be red) Not to mention, There is no fist insignia, I don't know if it's finished but that's one cool model none-the-less. The skull on the first model as well is supposed to be red as well but hey, you don't have to go directly for the fluff. I use this as my guide line so this might help a tad. http://z11.invisionfree.com/THE_PHALANX/in...p?showtopic=200

Best of luck,

Brother Rathul

I have another question for you guys. For a Pedro Kantor conversion what model should I use as a base if I don't want to use him?

As to the colors, I wanted the sternguard to be a little different from the norm, I also like the Imperial Fist bone fetish thing so I am going to take advantage of that.

The first guys shoulder guards are white because I was reading the SM codex and it said for the assault company it was white/gray and for the first company it was silver or white. I hadn't really done a lot of research but I still have a chance to make my color schemes a little more cannon.

I wanted a bit of a mixed force for my painting, like 1 squad from 1st company, 2 squads from the 8th assault company, 1 squad from the 9th dev company and then I was thinking of doing a squad of Red Scorpions for a second sternguard squad, as well as some tacticals from a standard battle company. I like the look and idea of a varied color scheme.

But yeah, help with Pedro would be nice. I am going to use his arm, cut off the should/pad and use a different one. I would like him to be a little larger than what he is currently. I was thinking some of the chapter master models are cool but they all have shoulder pads and arms for the most part.

Thanks in advance.

I would go with the awesome powerfist from the sanguinary guard set along with the wreathed head keep his storm bolter arm (the icon on the shoulder is the same that is from the Gw in the CF command squad set) chest armour of choice and for legs I would go with the kneeling legs out of the SM box sets and posing him kneeling fist on the ground and shooting the Arrow of Dorn.
