Grimtooth
My SW mech list is based on Harald Deathwolf and my tanks are predominately black. I have seen the tutorials for doing the sponge bit battle damage to edges, but I was wondering how you would do this with black vehicles. In the tutorials you are dipping into black or a mix of black and another color to set your battle damage patterns. These of course would be lost on a black vehicle. Any ideas for alternative color to dip sponge in first? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/205919-battle-damage-on-vehicles/ Share on other sites
Flak
Metallics are probably your best bet. Either a darker tone like BG metal for paint scrapes or work in rust (tin bitz is pretty good for this) for a more weathered damage effect. Venerable Jazzman
I dug out some cannon holes in the front and highlighted them with an ordinary pencil, then a tiny layer of rust. The other weathering is just Boltgun Metal applied with some sponge, and a Tamiya Weathering Stick And i've put some matt varnish over the yellow BA decal since this was taken :) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v110/fatjazzer/raz04.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v110/fatjazzer/raz03.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/205919-battle-damage-on-vehicles/#findComment-2456805 Share on other sites
