Pig Of Sparta
Looking good High Marshall. That face looks great, very classical which makes it perfect for a BA :P. The toes look like they're starting to take shape pretty well too. What's the white stuff you've filled the gaps in his knees with? I noticed both you and Replica using it and realised I had no idea what it was... keep up the good work James Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/205942-forgeworld-blood-angel-replica-my-friend-let-it-begin/page/3/#findComment-2467729 Share on other sites

Olgerth Istaarn
It was great right up until the toes. I'm sorry, but the toes look hideous, and kind of ruin the whole shabang. I like them, maybe when the whole model is the same color you'll like them a little more Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/205942-forgeworld-blood-angel-replica-my-friend-let-it-begin/page/3/#findComment-2469307 Share on other sites

Olgerth Istaarn
I think the new version is better by a mile. I'm not fond of toes on power armor in general, but the first pass looked very cartoonish and crude, like an Ork's paw maybe. This one looks like an actual foot - if there MUST be bare feet, they should look appropriately human. Replica
I like the old feet better, but i do like the new ones too. Only thing is i dont thin the toes should overlap the bottom plate of the boot, but thats more personal preference. Darklighter
I think the over all shape of the new foot is better but the detailing isn't up to the same standard.... Not that I could do any better, lol. Keep up the good work. High Marshal Sigfeird
Agaian sorry all for the slowness, damn pc. I have taken in the crits and concerns with the feet and have constructed two new ones. However only one is done more to come as always but im really pleased with the result of this one. http://i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz110/HighMarshalSigfried/011-6.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/205942-forgeworld-blood-angel-replica-my-friend-let-it-begin/page/3/#findComment-2484165 Share on other sites
Pig Of Sparta
Going to go slightly off topic here, but I wanted to ask a couple of questions about the FW etched brass icons you're using... How easy are they to work with? Can they be shaped reasonably easily? Back on topic, I like the more 'realistic' look of the new foot you've made, it adds more of an artisan look to the armour I think. thanks James Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/205942-forgeworld-blood-angel-replica-my-friend-let-it-begin/page/3/#findComment-2487320 Share on other sites
High Marshal Sigfeird
Thxs sparta appreciate it,its taken a few failed attempts but im hoping im proving him. As for the Brash etch they are quite easy to shape, just needs a little heat (Like a normal desk lamp) so allot easier to work with and better then transfers i feel.
