Cheatah
As I'm working on my sternguard squad using DA veterans as the base for the dudes, I thought I'd cut up some meltaguns and bolters to create myself some combi-meltas. I'm going for some similarity with the combi-melta in the SM commander kit. Start by cutting off the tube from the meltagun and slice the bottom part of the grip off. At the bolter side, cut off the grip and the raised part on top, so only the barrel, gun casing and magazine remain. Then cut off the breech-bolt. If you want to drill out the barrels, it's easiest to do so before gluing the parts together. Just glue the remaining parts together and you got yourself a pretty nifty looking combi-melta that looks quite similar to the one in the SM commander kit albeit a bit bulkier. http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i149/Cheatah43/New%20DA/th_P1020528-edit.jpg Click the image above for better visible instructions. http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i149/Cheatah43/New%20DA/th_P1020526.jpg http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i149/Cheatah43/New%20DA/th_P1020529.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/205975-combi-melta-conversion/ Share on other sites
Inquisitor Kravin
Nice. Almost the exact same thing I did last night (except my Wolf Guard isn't wearing a dress). averykess
That is a nice simple conversion! Personally, I don't like the bulk of attaching a full meltagun to a bolter, but until GW makes all the combi weapons easily available we have to get creative. It does fit with the chunky gothic feel of the Imperium.
