ninjabat
Hey all, I have been experimenting with many lists, and keep getting drawn to the Thunder wolf section. Is it worth running a lord with a wolf, and some guys on wolves with him for wound soaking-are they killy? the other concern is not knowing where to get decent wolves. Thanks -BK Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/206118-thunder-wolves/ Share on other sites
wolf363839
Definitely worth taking if it fits your playstyle and theme...or if you just feel like taking a deathstar-like unit... They get into combat so quickly and hit very hard, it's always fun using them. They will die to massed shooting or tons of bad luck, but they attract firepower away from your troops, which obviously protects them. I use a converted bloodcrusher, but there are tons of other brands out there. Marshal Wilhelm
TWC are an amazing unit. What makes them better than their already excellent stats is you can tool them up, which is effective, but it allows wound allocation shenanigans. This makes them stick around a long time. Fenris Wolf packs are worth considering ~ they make for good screens for the TWC. lothbrok
i love thunder wolves they can pretty much rip apart anything hell i've even seen them take out a baneblade. but their definately best if your playing someone whos never fought them before. as for models i use the dungeons and dragons vampire dire wolves.
