Vlad III
So with plastic horrors more than likely on the way for Wave 2, I'm seriously thinking about picking up a Daemon's army to accentuate the DH:Raven Gguard CSM army I'm gunna buy and convert off my friend. However, I come to an impass. Mono-Tzeentch is really tough to pull off, so should I forgo Mono-Tzeentch and bring a squad or two of Tzeentchified Bloodletters? Or should I grin and bear it and attempt to make a Mono-T list work well? With either answer, does anyone have any good examples they could give me? Mortanix
I would be greatly tempted to proxy something tzeentchy as bloodletters if i were you, will go over the catalogue later, should be interesting at least if you don't mind some mild converting and unconventional painting then almost anything can look daemonic. Gaz Taylor
Too be honest, with minor work to the Bloodletters (like removing horns and marks of Khorne), you should be able to use the current models B) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/206176-the-beginnings-of-a-servant-of-change/#findComment-2465617 Share on other sites
OneOfAThousand
I also think the Bloodletters shouldnt be too difficult to 'Tzeentchify' - even a colour scheme change away from the Red/Bronze/Black that is the norm with 'letters would help in that regard. Vlad III
Well I'm gunna give Mono-tzeentch a few proxies. And here's what I've cooked up for 1000 points. HQ Herald - Chariot, Bolt, MoS Herald - Chariot, Bolt, MoS Elites 3x Flamers 3x Flamers Troops 6x Horrors - Changeling 6x Horrors 6x Horrors Heavy Daemon Prince - MoT, Bolt Daemon Prince - MoT, Bolt Points: 1001 I doubt any opponent I face will care about 1 point. And now I come to you guys to ask about any changes you think I should incorporate. I feel like at 1000 points I won't get hit with too many tanks, though I know it's possible, but hopefully between two jetbike bolts and two Princes with Bolt and 2d6 armour pen I can take out most things I come across without too much of a hitch. Thoughts? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/206176-the-beginnings-of-a-servant-of-change/#findComment-2467911 Share on other sites
aries24
i think that 6 man horror squads are going to be be way to small :/ esspicially if the are objectives involved then your going to be in some realy trouble, as all it will take is concentrated fire powere for about two turns and they'll be gon ..... but im not sure on what to drop to make up for this Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/206176-the-beginnings-of-a-servant-of-change/#findComment-2523184 Share on other sites
Talon Darkshade
I will agree with plague bringer on the horrors. If your not running a min-max bolt squad of 5 then they need bumped up numbers. I would split the 3 squads of 6 to 2 squads of 9. Not only does it give you bodies for W saturation but hey it's fluffy...bonus. How are you going to run your split? Mr Peon
I disagree, with deamons and the way the halfs are setup there is not much reason not to have more smaller squads. I would suggest you could drop down to one flamer squad, and give the horrors 4x5 with some bolts in there as well. at 10 points if give you an option to shoot if you come up against a mech list.
