Luther - the fallen
Hi guys, I figured this might inspire some of you guys to greater features of conversion or something. I have for a while now been working on my Iron Warriors, and for that I need some HQ's. Currently I have two Captains (one in TDA, one in PA) who you might have seen, but for they're basically Kit-bashed. and for my Warsmith I wanted something bigger, better, and more Bad-arse than any basic GW model or Kit-bash, so I've begun some heavy conversions on a loyalist Terminator to create my Lord in Pre-Heresy TDA. I intend for him to have a "Honour guard" of Terminators with something like his own armour (though less bionics on them). Enough words, now you get Pics! The legs alone for starters. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v353/Erick_sermon/40K/Iron%20Warriors/DSC00307.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v353/Erick_sermon/40K/Iron%20Warriors/DSC00308.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v353/Erick_sermon/40K/Iron%20Warriors/DSC00309.jpg and with the main body mounted. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v353/Erick_sermon/40K/Iron%20Warriors/DSC00313.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v353/Erick_sermon/40K/Iron%20Warriors/DSC00314.jpg All Bionics are inspired mainly by a short conversation with Aquilla from this beautiful forum, and he deserves the credit for helping me with the bionic legs so far. As usual, Comments and Critique is welcome. Luther. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/206230-warsmith-conversion/ Share on other sites
Vlâdvar The Destroyer
Very nicely done bionics!! I look forward to seeing more! What parts did you use?? Luther - the fallen
there's some Tau "minigun"(don't remember the name), some Marine Missiles, plastic rod, guitar string, and other stuff.. I seriously can't tell you what bit is what. Though the Knee pads are headlights from a baneblade, that much I do remember. Pig Of Sparta
This looks like it's going to be a great mini already. The ammount of effort you've put in so far is reall paying off because those legs defnately look 'manufactured' but in a good way. Any thoughts as to how you'll be arming him? cheers James Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/206230-warsmith-conversion/#findComment-2460181 Share on other sites
Luther - the fallen
I've been thinking about that for a while, and I can't really decide. I think it will be Daemon weapon and either Combi-bolter or Combi-flamer. Either way the ranged weapon will be converted too. Any thoughts on weapons? Also, any ideas for a nice daemon weapon? Pig Of Sparta
Hmmm, I suppose you're kinda limited to a combi-weapon by the codex now, it's a shame they got rid of things like to Kai Gun. I'll have a wee think about Daemon Weapons. I should be back on later today so if I think of anythign I'll post it up. Slightly off topic, I tried out that Sloganizer thing from your sig, this is what I got: Xenos is good for you!!! and The Astartes Man. I think this warrants further playing later  cheers James Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/206230-warsmith-conversion/#findComment-2460188 Share on other sites
German Solitaire
Really nice job! 1 small suggestion: The torso need som additional converting to fit to the legs... sword brethren
looking unbeleivable! great bionic, you are doing the iron warriors proud. i tried the slogan thing aswell and got "Naughty Little Chaos" "Dark Powers? Yes Please!!" "everything is simple with Dreadnaughts" and finally... "Gravy makes dreams come true" Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/206230-warsmith-conversion/#findComment-2460404 Share on other sites
turelhim vampire
Okay, those bionics look awesome. If the rest of the conversion is like the legs, then you are onto a winner there! I'll be keeping my eye on this. Well done. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/206230-warsmith-conversion/#findComment-2460438 Share on other sites
Terminatorinhell
I like the bionics a lot so far, what did you use for the knee pads? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/206230-warsmith-conversion/#findComment-2460510 Share on other sites
Luther - the fallen
@ Sword Brethren: I agree with the last one :) @ All: Thanks for the Comments! They're good motivation. As for the Knee pads they're actually the headlights from the baneblade kit, which I apparently had one of in my bitzbox (I don't remember how it got there though?) I've done some work on the arms, but I'm too tired to post pics right now. My main problem right now is how to arm him (pun intended :P). I need ideas how to run this guy. That's it for now. Luther. Pig Of Sparta
Having thought about this since my last post, I'm assuming that he'll have a combi-weapon of some kind? So as boring as it sounds you could integrate it into his arm, perhaps having some visible cables connecting through the arm to the weapon. Maybe having a small fuel flask (hydrogen or promethium) wedged in there as well kinda like the mkI Iron Man suit. As for his other arm, (depends on the kind of daemon weapon you're going for) my only idea is having some kind of chunk of a fleshy substance caged into the bionics with a bloodletters hell blade type blade protuding from it. If you're interested I can try and do a sketch of what I'm think for you. cheers James Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/206230-warsmith-conversion/#findComment-2462541 Share on other sites
Luther - the fallen
Actually I hadn't even thought about that option. I'd love a sketch of your ideas, that can help me with it. Luther.. Pig Of Sparta
Hopefully you can make them out: http://i347.photobucket.com/albums/p456/pigofsparta/Bionics.jpg I think I over-emphasised the flamer nozzle considering it's a one shot weapon but hopefully you get the idea  hope they're of some help cheers James Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/206230-warsmith-conversion/#findComment-2463422 Share on other sites
KhornateKiller
Fantastic looking conversion cant wait to see more. My Slogans "«There is no life without Blood God.» «Halleluja, it's a Blood God.» One of my favourutes «Jesus loves Khârn The Betrayer.» «Khârn The Betrayer. The power on your side.» <_< Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/206230-warsmith-conversion/#findComment-2463592 Share on other sites
Shortsonfire79
Those leg bionics are really awesome! I like the two sketches you've done. You've put a lot of work just into the legs! Terminatorinhell
I finally tried that sloganizer, its fairly amusing I got "Space Marines never die" "You will go far with space marines." "Bigger, better stronger. Space Marines" "Don't get in the way of space marines" now back on topic, what head will you use for him? I also like PoS' sketches for bionics! Luther - the fallen
@ Pig of sparta: those are just what I need, I'll look into finding a way to do them, or something like them. @ Terminatirinhell: I've converted a Bionic eye head, so it also has a respirator. I'll be using that. I've started work on the upper arms, and the head is done, so expect more pic's soon. (as in when I get home later ) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/206230-warsmith-conversion/#findComment-2464020 Share on other sites

Pig Of Sparta
Looking pretty snazzy Luther. I like the way you've got the elbow joint on using a piece of power armour. I also like the way you've linked the wrist to the upper arm with the cabling as well :) James Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/206230-warsmith-conversion/#findComment-2464359 Share on other sites
Luther - the fallen
It's actually the elbow from a loyalist terminator, and making these has been some of the funniest conversion work I've ever done. I might have to do this to most of my army now :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/206230-warsmith-conversion/#findComment-2464890 Share on other sites

Luther - the fallen
Update time! :) I've gone with hands instead of the integrated weapons idea, mainly because in my soon to come fluff for him. Anyway, Pics of the arms attached, I realise the left arm (the one with a bionic shoulder) looks out of proportions, but I can't seem to figure out what's wrong, if you can see it, please tell me what's wrong with it. ;) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v353/Erick_sermon/40K/Iron%20Warriors/DSC00323.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v353/Erick_sermon/40K/Iron%20Warriors/DSC00324.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v353/Erick_sermon/40K/Iron%20Warriors/DSC00325.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v353/Erick_sermon/40K/Iron%20Warriors/DSC00326.jpg as always, C&C is most welcome. Terminatorinhell
I think the upper arm might be a bit too long, but put a shoulder pad on it and see how it looks.
