well i needed to take a break from my blood angel force.. painting red is starting to take its toll. so decided to pursue an idea for a sternguard heavy army i had and make a tyranid hunter army..

now to lead such a force i clearly needed somebody to make my sternguard score.. but with a whole lot less crimson fist iconography..

thus we have the love child of sicarius and pedro.. which is worrying enough in its own right..

thanks, the head is just sicarius's face.

the pose took me ages to decide on.. get umming and ahhing over what powerfist to give him and how to make the wrist bolter work other than pointing in a shooty pose.. which i didnt really like the idea of.

sanguinary guard powerfist with greenstuffed ultramarine symbol.

torso from vehicle sprue with greenstuffed banding, collar and ultramarine symbol.

mk iv legs from the assault on black reach set with greenstuffed ultramarine symbol, strappy loincloth and reinforced thighs.

WOW I have not been on here for ages, and this is realy one nice piece you have here.....BUT

Its coverd in mold lines, and this is such a good conversion its a shame to see them so much!

Get rid of them and it will be PERFECT!

mold lines are being removed pretty much as we speak.. ive also decided to do my blue from a black base coat.. so hes being stripped (bar the head which has been removed) and being redone.. joy of joys.

i plan on using a selection of sternguard & nid hunter models for the basic troops.. hopefully with each model being unique in some way and will be seeing what can be done with the legion of the damned heavy flamers..

there will also be a version of cassius in the making at some point. i need to have a look at the model though to see if its worth salvaging anything from it.. or going from scratch.
