Wysten
I remembered that when I first came to this forum, I was somehow pointed to this topic. It's kind of had a lasting effect on my mental process's in preparation to start playing this game. http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/index.p...howtopic=101214 Just out of curiousity, how do we sit in the grand spectrum of things? Are we of the Water Element due to our ability to play a strong offensive and defensive? (The most flextable Marine codex at least) Or would we fit in one of the other chatergories? That being said, really suprised theres no grand tactica here, I heard it was unfesiable. But why is this? Simply because of codex changes? Brother Caleb
I think we have the flexibility to be water. Marines are generalists from the start, and grey hunters are some of the most broadly equipped of the chapters. With that said, I tend to play mine as an earth army. I enjoy grinding the enemy down with firepower and the wolves superb ability to receive a charge. Grimtooth
I think with the new codex, we are pretty stacked with various tactics. I mean really, SW tactics can be as varied as the individual companies. Thunderhawk3015
I have found personally that my wolves excel after they hit the 12 inch mark away from my opponent. You can also split his force and annihilate one piece at a time, sit on objectives and blow him away with long fangs, roll over him with massed armor, hit him with a pack of thunderwolves, unleash drop pod mayhem, send the skyclaws/swiftclaws in, etc. There are endless possibilities that you can explore with Space Wolves. Experiment with what kinds of different lists you can make using different units. Just remember that having your packs support each other is very beneficial.
