matchbox
Right so i've decided i'm gonna have a bit of fun and convert myself up a Gabriel Seth character. I have decided to use the body from the 2008 Games Day mini because it's a cool pose, however i am unsure about which Chainsword to use for the weapon blade. I am likely to use one of these 2. http://img401.imageshack.us/img401/7522/photo2ia.jpg This is the Body. http://img10.imageshack.us/img10/1691/photocf.jpg Any suggestions welcome. lhg033
top one. alternatively, if you can get a hold of some of the ork nob weapons ther are some nice two handed chain axes in there tht would suit. nice choice for the body. lhg033 Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/206541-gabriel-seth/#findComment-2464171 Share on other sites
matchbox
Thanks. I'm not a big axe fan personally. I much prefer the sleeker look of Swords. Alright going with fluff i should have lots of them with my Fleshtearers but i still stand by my decision to use swords. matchbox
Okay here he is with his backpack and sword attached. http://img707.imageshack.us/img707/2578/photo3dsb.jpg http://img34.imageshack.us/img34/2927/photo4yu.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/206541-gabriel-seth/#findComment-2464228 Share on other sites
Pig Of Sparta
I think you're of too a good start here. A little greenstuff and some light sanding and you'd never know they were separate blades to begin with. Any thoughts as to what's going in his other hand? Lestat
Looking good so far. I like the sword conversion - nice and big! As for the other hand, how about a severed head being hurled at the enemy? That would look nasty! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/206541-gabriel-seth/#findComment-2464394 Share on other sites
matchbox
That's a good idea. Not one I had considered to start with. What I had though if was to have him look like he had dodge an attack and punched someone in the face, however I reckon it would be hard without him looking like he's just holding a fist up. The severed head idea certainly has preference ATM. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/206541-gabriel-seth/#findComment-2464871 Share on other sites
Lestat
There is one on the Ork boyz sprue. Or maybe a zombie or Ghoul head from the undead range would work. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/206541-gabriel-seth/#findComment-2465153 Share on other sites
Jellitin
He looks pretty sweet so far! A nice, big chainsword. As far as the other arm, him throwing a severed head would be a nice touch. matchbox
Ok current update. Not 100% happy with the severed head i went for. Might change it for one from the zombie sprue. Thank you for reminding me about my Undead Army Lestat.. http://img146.imageshack.us/img146/900/photo5no.jpg What do you reckon? I sculpted a bit more hair onto the head to make it look slightly less strange. Stupid chaos and they're weird hairstyles. No problem - I'm always looking at sprues at bitz trying to work out where I could use them. Like where you are going with this head. Maybe if you were to raise the left arm up so it is more outstretched and have the head hanging naturally by the hair. Of course, if you went for a head from the zombie/undead sprues, you could go down the "Alas poor Yorrick" route and have him holding the head in his hand, blood running down his gauntlet. matchbox
I've actually changed the head hanging from his hand. However I do like the alas poor Yorrick thing but it wouldn't work with him running. I have instead used the two heads hanging together from the zombie sprue. Keeping the top knot from the chaos head. It's hanging back at an angle to represent him swinging his arm forward with them in his hand. Looks much better now. We get a picture up when I get home from work. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/206541-gabriel-seth/#findComment-2465641 Share on other sites
