Somar Posted July 17, 2010 Share Posted July 17, 2010 hello, i am currently working on my version of the Sanguinor (just kit bashing some SG and SM bits to a pair of wings i had floating around to use on St. Celestine) now, i want to paint him to look like a spectre, kinda ghost like, ectoplasmic, whatever you want to call it. i was thinking of doing the main body and wings like my lil blood bowl test dude, the sword black with a green sheen to represent some more substantiality, maybe a few patches of regular fire (yellow, orange and red) on the sword and the tops of the wings and as a contrast some deep red blood spilling out of a chalice. the rocks will be natural with a few touches of simulated reflections of green light. opinions? is this approach viable? any input appreciated. http://i837.photobucket.com/albums/zz298/dirkspair/misc%20stuff/sang002.jpg http://i837.photobucket.com/albums/zz298/dirkspair/misc%20stuff/sang001.jpg Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Anywho the ethereal idea is pretty cool, although from the test model you might need to make a little more highlights to white(the more green the more nurgle-ish he seems) on sanguinor himself, maybe white base/green washes? Not sure if thats what you are going for or did, just a thought. Did you have a sword in mind for his weapon? I've always liked the Emperor's Champion one, but it might be overused at this point. Pig Of Sparta Posted July 20, 2010 Share Posted July 20, 2010 Very impressive. I like how you've chosen to make him 'ghostly'. A really unique mini :P. My only suggestion would be to try and add some depth of colour to the blood in the chalice as it seems too flat and almost unrealistic compared to the rest of the mini.
