Grimtooth
So I played a couple of games where once again my Thunderlords and GH shined. However I am thinking that they not only could do better but need to do better. So I run a 3 GH Rhino rush and always run them in close support of eachother which raises hell for opponents. I have been using my thunderlords and fenrisian wolves as a flanking force away from the GH to either draw fire away from my troops or destroy anything my opponent leavea a little too far out. Taking what I have learned since I built my new list, I am thinking of running my GH as the armored speartip while screening my thunderlords and fenrisian wolves. The GH support themselves and the thunderlords and vice versa. If needed, the thunderlords have the speed to sweep out to flank anything that may be thinking to counterattack my GH. I really think that this tactic shys away from just having the thunderlords labeled as a "deathstar" unit and labels the list as a "deathstar" army. Marshal Wilhelm
For what it's worth, a ^_^ from me. It is the overlap of units that gives you something better than just the units themselves. Another synchronised example; The Vindi allows a Marines army to do its thing unmolested, at least for a little while ^_^ Getting a 4++ for your TWC toughens up the unit marvellously and means you have better wound-allocation-shenanigans across the whole unit, not just overloading the SS bearers. Do you risk firing that Missile Launcher against the TWC, just to risk an extra 50% failure? or do you try to pop the Rhinos only to have to deal with a fresh TWC charge? Muahhahahahaha! <_< Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/206657-thunderlords-rhinos/#findComment-2465524 Share on other sites

Next game combined with the GH, I am really looking forward to the "synergy".....LOL! Coverfire
I thought I might try this myself for next week, Do you recommend Thunderwolf Cavalry to ride with the Lord? I was thinking of the 3 Rhinos', with Thunderwolf Cavalry + Lord and Tornados' in support. The other thing is do you just drive your rhinos' up 12" the first rhino deploys smoke and the other 2 rhinos' get cover saves, with your Thunderlord riding behind them with the cover saves as well.. and in the next movement change the positioning of the rhinos? and do you max out on meltaguns bend them with plasmas and flamers?
