Viking numbers?

Roman numerals would work...

But so could the Rune variation of Alpha, Beta, Charlie, Delta...

Or Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta (Or whatever the Greek letters actually occur in)

Find out what order the runes go in, and use them in place, basically.

Are there runes for number? Been thinking of adding numbers t the shoulders of some squads/ packs..

There are historically no shorthand for numbers how ever in 40k Roman numerals do appear to be used on Fenris (at least in regards to the standard bearer figure). you could use as has been suggested the order the runes similar to how "Alpha" and so on are used. It would depend on what Runic alphabete you go for, the most common used today being the Elder Futhark but there is also the Younger and the Anglo-Saxon Futhorc (there are also a variety of others). When I use runes for my SW I go with the Anglo-Saxon but as I said most people these days will use the Elder Futhark, you should be able to find a picture with the order easily with a quick google search.
